Which is sad as it took many hours of work to create SANS. SANS works on GOOGLE and BING news ONLY. I hope SANS helps you!! If you like SANS please take a moment and give it a good rating :-) *********************** Now.. a little about SANS from the developer: If you're like me, you like your online news the way you like your coffee... the way YOU LIKE IT. Stop Annoying News or "SANS" allows you to block online sources by domain (i.e. huffingtonpost.com or washingtonpost.com) or by topic keyword (i.e. "Kardashian" or "Alec Baldwin") from staying in your news feed. SANS allows you to quickly add sites or keywords that you don't want to see. You have the option to 'fade' stories or remove them from view completely. It blocks the same content on both Google and Bing news portals. All these reviews saying it doesn't work must be outdated info cuz here in February 2022 it works! however it doesn't like special characters which is unfortunate since this makes blocking ï (i with 2 dots) not possible
(2021-03-12) Mark Grant: This might have been useful once, but at least as of 3/12/2021 it removes the text of the story but leaves the rest of the browser object intact (image, etc) so it looks ugly. If this is by design, then it's bad design, but I'm assuming that it worked in a more useful fashion once but a change to google news broke it.

(2018-09-30) Mickael: Seems to be working great so far. It completely removes the topics you don't want to see which is what I wanted to do. You just need to enter keywords like "Trump" "Kavanaugh" or else and you won't see it anymore

on a mac using chrome, downloaded ext and tried blocking foxnews.com, lead story is still from foxnews.com. I normally read news under incognito, but incognito mode access is turned on, and also tried it in the regular browser. And I disabled all other extensions to make sure none was interfering with it, and even restarted chrome, still get foxnews.

Sorry, but your app doesn't block any of the websites I enter. In your defense, neither does the google news preferences.

As I recall, your app stopped working on my computers when Google changed its News website format. I checked my Extensions and SANS is "on" and I have plenty of words in my block list so I don't know what the problem might be. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

I am not sure if you can do what Google seems completely incapable of doing but.... Can you sort the page so the most recent items are at the top? Also, all of the other "Remove Top Stories" category extensions broke with the latest update. Can you do that too? Do you have a Paypal or Patreon page?

I notice this extension only works on "news.google.com", it doesn't work on the local variants such as "news.google.ie". I assume this issue is the same across all variants (.co.uk, .fr, .de, etc). Can you add support for the other ccTLD's please

I'm trying to block some sites, but can't with the web addy or keywords. WashingtonPost.com is one of them. I can't rate this highly until it works as advertised.

Trying to block Breitbart News on Google News. I have included in the list: "breitbart.com" "Breitbart News" "breitbart" Also have added "wnd.com" I have cleared my history. Stories from those two sources still show up. Any thoughts?
