It used to be pretty good, but now all I get are a couple of lines no matter what I ask, even if the old Claude could handle full articles with barely any effort. Plus, everything is painfully slow the site, the chat, you name it. And what’s with this new “Flow” thing? It honestly unnecessary and doesn’t help at all. Perplexity and Manus are far, far better options!

• (2025-03-02) A very convenient and useful tool that increases individual productivity. However, the list of models in the Chrome extension does not match the list in the Merlin's Mobile and Web applications. Currently, the extension's models list contains 6 models that are considered archived in the Merlin Mobile application. Moreover, the list of models does not include such current models as O1, O3 mini, Deep Seek, and Gemini 2.0. Please update the Chrome extension's models list. UPDATE: a new UI of Chrome extension is here and it's pretty fine, but hey, where is the most important feature of Merlin AI - Chat with Web page?

• (2025-01-23) Overall Merlin is best. The only issue it has is when I use it on my M3 Mac and do a google search, it increases the CPU usage by 20-30% and starts heating. The moment, I close the tab with google search, it stops consuming high resources.
• (2025-01-19) Waste of time and money with useless responses. Questioning disgusting and even dangerous hallucinations counts as queries and uses up credits (15 points in one go in the extension). Payment spam is littered all over the UI with confusingly different pricing everywhere. YouTube summary is lame compared to Google's free NotebookLM. Unable to summarise pdf, which NotebookLM does perfectly. Not someone I would trust with my payment details. I have wasted a bit of time to find the option to unsubscribe and have all my date deleted, but it seems such an option doesn't exist. Developer, please respond.

• (2025-01-05) Its too invasive and doesn't work a lot of times. Also can't get it to work on PDFs sometimes. GOAT AI summarizer is my goto for a reliable and high quality summarizer, and it works everywhere too.
• (2024-12-29) When the Chrome Extension is Active, ChatGPT login page cannot be authorized and load. Not sure among all my 20 extensions, only Merlin causes this issue. It took me days to find out that this was the cause. Deleting this real time. Seriously hate it!
• (2024-12-15) I just got their Pro tier and happy with it so far. Only complaint is the extension and the web get logged out too quickly. so cumbersome to always re log in. Please help to make login remains longer.

• (2024-11-28) Was working great but the latest update appears to have broken its ability to summarize Youtube videos. Every time I click "Generate Summary" I get an error saying "Something went wrong: Request failed with status code 400". I've already tried reinstalling and restarting.
