Usage guide:
🗣 Advanced AI Voice Mode:
• After installing this extension, access the settings by clicking the ⚙️ icon located near the input field of the AI. Set your input voice language, and text-to-speech voice, and customize everything you want.
• To activate ChatGPT voice control, simply click the 🎙️ icon or press the "X" key outside the input field and start speaking.
• To start a voice chat with DeepSeek AI, click the 🎙️ icon or press the “X” key outside the input field. Release the key when you finish speaking. DeepSeek AI will respond using your selected text-to-speech voice.
• For longer voice inputs, press and hold the “X” key while speaking, then release it when you're done.
• To replay or listen to a specific message, click the 🔈 icon located below the message.
• To turn read-aloud on or off, simply click on the 🔈 icon located near the AI's input field.
⌨ Voice Typing for All Websites:
• For voice typing, on any website just right-click on the input field, choose “Voice typing” from the menu, click the 🎙️ icon, and start speaking to type without using the keyboard.
📖 Advanced Read-Aloud for All Websites:
• To listen to specific text on any webpage, select the desired text, right-click, and choose the “Listen” option from the context menu. This feature allows you to hear only the text you've highlighted.

- (2025-07-10) Michael Köhler: Great tool. In contrast to ChatGPTs own function you see what you say right away. One problem though: It deletes text in some cases when I start to speak. For example, when I edit text manually and then start to talk, it deletes everything I have written before. This is very annoying, please fix this, thank you a lot!
- (2025-07-02) Status Quo: I use DeepSeek and everything seems to be great except... it repeats the last response every time before voicing the newest response. I'll give a simple example below to clarify. Me: blah blah blah AI Voiced: (Response A) Me: new blah blah blah AI Voiced: Repeats the previous (Response A) before moving on to this repsonse. Hope that helps. It happens every time on Edge and I even tested on Opera (because I don't use Chrome). I'll give 3 stars for now and will gladly change it if ever resolved. Everything else seems to work great.

- (2025-04-25) Biggums: Tested with DeepSeek, Chrome 135.0.7049.115 Speech recognition only works about 70% accurate and that is with already pronouncing everything unnaturally accurate. Reading only works for the very first sentence per message. Everything else gets completely ignored. The integration into the website looks nice tho.

Also, it stopped doing auto-speaking in both apps a couple weeks ago. And I would like to be able to set a speed for every language individually, as the different TTSvoices behave differently in each language.
- (2025-04-02) ꧁ღTRUMP FOR LIFEღ꧂: I’m writing a five-star review for VoiceWave because it has truly transformed my life. As someone with limited writing ability, I’m absolutely blown away by this tool. it’s given me a newfound skill I never thought possible. When I first tried it with Grok, I had to hold back tears of amazement. That said, being new, VoiceWave isn’t without its quirks. The fluidity could use some work. it adds hyphens and commas or capitalizes words when I pause while speaking. I think it works best when the user has clear, fluent thoughts before starting. I’m hopeful these small kinks will be smoothed out soon by the developers (or maybe I’ll just get better with practice!). Either way, thank you so much for this incredible leap forward in my life!

However, "ChatGPT changes causes the extension to break" as a notification for a similar extension posts on it's webpage, and offers a fixed manual instal while waiting for review by the Chrome Store. I am finding today that "Voicewave: Voice Mode" is broken for me. I wonder if it is due to the same ChatGPT changes that broke several similar extension? I hope this extension will be fixed soon.

- (2025-03-09) A W (pnksounds): amazing tool, cant thank you guys enough for this, especially with it working on all sites if you allow it. can be really useful when you least expect it. note: sometimes on edge[chrome works fine but lacks features for me], when clicking mic on, it displays that's I'm not connected to the internet, even though i cant access the website without a connection, as hilarious as it was at the time to see. unfortunately its persisted and become a hindrance. context: I have arthritis in my hands and makes it hard to type for long periods. additionally, when on chrome, nearly all language options for tts playback aren't available for some reason, idk if its how my chrome is set up but on edge its working fine. - this also seems to be present with voice recognition language on chrome.

- (2024-12-21) Viraj Patel: This app should have a higher rating. I just installed it on 12/21/24 and it works flawlessly and has increased my productivity a lot. I like entering my prompts through voice but then reading the answers on screen, as this results in the fastest information intake, and this app allows just that. I love that you just hold down the key 'x' while talking or just tap x once and speak at your leisure and then say "enter' when you're done and the prompt is submitted.

- (2024-12-03) Impulse: Why change the button that chatgpt added and replace it with your own so that this extension can be used instead of the built-in one? Why would you do that for plus users? I understand probably wanting more people in a premium subscription to your app, but you need to understand boundaries too. As long as there was no voice input from openai, the voice input of this extension was convenient, but the ability to communicate with chatgpt why close it? You could at least put it next to each other, so that a person could choose whether to dictate into a line and send it or communicate with chatgpt.
