  • (2025-07-19) Lyndsay Gowin: Spent way too much time trying to figure out how to register for an api key for free unlimited access. I filled out the form as asked, after selecting the make it easier option because I don't have developer app information to input. With all fields filled in, checking my password length and that it is matching multiple times, selecting all the cars for the captcha, the "register" button never turns red, allowing me to submit the form. I am a VERY busy college student that didn't have this kind of time to waste. This kind of app should be helping people save time not demanding that they waste it.

  • (2025-02-16) Asliddin: It would be helpful to include a sentence demonstrating the word in context, along with a list of synonyms.
  • (2024-12-13) Mohammed Zakaria Amara (Zak): what api key i should use? i always use dictionarry to learn new vocab, i always want to know the real use of the new word im learning, so I know where to put it, i prefer easy to understand exapmles also, and synonyms, and the conjugation is needed also, and the adjective, noun, verb of the word also, thanks
  • (2024-11-20) Insomnyan: so convenient to use. Thanks dev
  • (2024-10-18) Ghazale: Not free—unless your time spent making it work is worth $0. Pros: + Opens a small over-the-page window for quick word lookup Cons: - The treasure is limited, so it doesn't find or define all words - Made by developers for developers. Hear me out: After a while, it stopped working, saying I needed to put in an "API key," with no further information provided. So, I went searching. Perplexity instructed me to create an account on their developer website (https://dictionaryapi.com/), but the website directed me to start with the "products" page. The products page didn't seem to include anything related to extension APIs, so I clicked on a strangely located "register" link to follow Perplexity's solution. I closed the registration page the moment I saw the form! It fails basic UX and accessibility standards, and it's ridiculously long, with fields that aren't relevant for consumers or single users. I felt so cheated because when you factor in the time spent getting this extension to work, it actually makes it very expensive and NOT FREE.

  • (2024-10-09) Richard Chase: Seems like an odd thing to say, but for a dictionary, this application has all the bells and whistles. I feel more secure with it since I registered and got my FREE key to proceed after 20 uses.
  • (2024-10-08) Zara Nasser: Amazing I am and English Lit Student and this works amazing
  • (2024-08-28) Jeffson Spectre: Absolutely love it!!! after signing up, the 20 word limit was lifted. absolutely love the quickness of definition calls. Almost instantaneous. SUGGESTIONS: 1 - Would be amazing if I had the option to make the pop-out box bigger...its a struggle to read everything in the current tiny pop-out box. 2 - I saw another user suggesting to make the pop out box come out on the top right of the page where the extension would be...I definitely second it. it would be much better and wont block your content like it does now on the middle of the page.
  • (2024-08-24) Prince Bush: When I highlight a word, I would like the option of the definition automatically popping up in the extension at the top right rather than on the page.
  • (2024-08-14) Qatmarella: Extremely useful and handy...Until you have to buy it (after 20 words). Shame on its hungry creator.
  • (2024-08-13) Harkirpa Singh: Not free, only allows 20 word searches. Avoid at all costs.
  • (2024-08-05) Hoàng Minh Lê: Very useful for learning IELTS
  • (2024-07-28) John Vining: I cannot move the button or the pop up window locations, they are interfering with another extension for translation.

  • (2023-11-23) Bulat Gabidullin: Thanks for the extension! I would like to share some feedback. Sometimes, I am clicking on the magnifying glass icon unintentionally after selecting some text. Could you please consider: - moving the icon/button away from the selection a bit further; - not displaying it if the user does a triple-click, which is supposed to select the whole paragraph. In this case the magnifying glass appears after the first two clicks and gets pressed on the third click, if the user is not careful enough; - maybe using a different, more specific icon, like 'MW' initials or something. This is less critical, more stylistic opinion. Yes, you can get used to the magnifying glass but it feels a bit off at first.
