This is a simple extension bringing the Duolingo mobile apps' dark mode to the web version.
Many other available options to enforce a dark mode on the website mess up certain designs or characters, or aren't fully compatible with all elements on Duolingo. This project is meant to solve this problem by styling all parts of the Duolingo website directly.

- Used Duolingo daily though I almost can't use it at night anymore because of this faulty extension. It's hard to use because the word selection tiles have white on white backgrounds, I would have to highlight all the words just to be able to answer 1 question, for every question. This has been ongoing for weeks now Hope this gets resolved.

- God bless you!!! I'm learning english with duo in enhanced mode,I mean betwen 4 and 6 hour every day. My eyes were going to fall out after all this time with WHITE color background.

- Works way better than my usual darkmode-force extension I use. Would be cool to add sliders/color-pickers to freely let the user chose how light/dark and what colors they would like to use. But for what it is supposed to be, it does a perfect job!

Aside, I did notice Duolingo has a 'data-duo-theme' attribute on their html tag that you can just manually change to 'dark' and it works, but this saves time as the bookmarklet I made which did the following wasn't working. document.getElementsByTagName('html')[0].dataset.duoTheme = 'dark'
