Annotate Your Browser

Image from store WebSketch
Description from store WebSketch is a powerful tool that lets you effortlessly draw, highlight, write text, and create basic shapes on any webpage you visit. Whether you're a student, researcher, professional, or someone that just likes to doodle, WebSketch may be the perfect extension for you! With its intuitive interface and set of annotation tools, WebSketch lets you quickly mark up and annotate any webpage you want. Highlight important text, draw attention to key points, or add your own notes using freehand drawing or text boxes. Need to share or save your annotations for later? No problem! With WebSketch, you can download the annotated page as a PDF, so you can easily share your thoughts and ideas with others. To use WebSketch, add the extension to your device. Then, pin the extension to your taskbar. Click on the extension icon on any webpage to open up the drawing interface. From there, you can select your drawing tool and change the size, color, opacity, etc. When you are done drawing, you can click the "X" in the upper righthand corner (or the escape key!) to exit out of the drawing interface - while your drawings remain within the page. So if you're looking for a powerful and user-friendly annotation tool for your browser, look no further than WebSketch. Try it today! This extension is brand new and is considered to be a work in progress. That means I will be providing frequent updates and am looking for ways to improve on it. • (2025-07-12) Aravinth M: Hello there, first of all. Thanks for this mark-up tool extension. It's a great tool with simple and essential features. One main feature I love is the option to Undo changes with Ctrl+Z, it may sound unbelievable but not many tools provide that option. So special thanks for keeping that in consideration. Also, love the local saving of the previous-used-brush size and colour settings, it saves a lot of time. As it is mentioned that the tool is a work in progress, I would like to suggest an addition to tool: 1. Can we have a dedicated options to choose between a Pencil-like marker and a Highlighter-like marker. Currently, it's a single brush option with the user having to change the brush size and opacity toggle. So, it would be great if there are 2 dedication tools to choose from as it will help having pre-set options. 1.1. If 2 dedicated options can be made available, can they have the "last-used" settings for colour, brush-size, opacity preserved after use and not reset when opening the extension some time later. 2. Is it necessary for the screen to be grey-ed out a little when drawing-stuff. Keeping the natural colour-scheme of the webpage would be nicer to have. 3. A slider instead of an integer input for the brush size would help aid the ease of use.
