With our tool, you can back up and download your WhatsApp chat history from WhatsApp Web in JSON format. Text messages within the selected date range will be downloaded as a zip file.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Click the Open WhatsApp Web button and go to WhatsApp Web

I sent an email to get support, but then after trying to install the extension on Chrome Canary, I figured the problem was that I downloaded a bunch of similar extensions, they probably conflicted. Also you need to refresh the WhatsApp tab for the extension to work. After getting it to work, I got to download a JSON with the messages. That's the only option with this extension, and it is very simple. It gives me Date, UTC Time, Message, User from and User to.
