Google Analytics (GA) Debugger is a Chrome DevTools extension for Google Analytics 4 (GA4) tracking information to its own tab in the Chrome Developer Tools. This extension supports a debug_mode parameter so that you can monitor events in Admin > DebugView on the GA4 report and the Chrome Developer Tools. It is also possible to opt out tracking events during the testing sessions so GA data can be kept clean.
You will get a new tab in your Chrome DevTools: 📶 GA4 Debugger if a current site in the Chrome browser tab uses GA4 tracking.

- (2023-08-19) Igor Santos: Doesn't exactly help in my scenario - I'm trying to piece out what's going on with a hybrid app and it simply doesn't show any event. Works fine on the website, though - although the interface is a bit ugly and could get some extra love.
- (2023-06-16) noah jy: As far as I know, there are 3 extensions that work for debugging GA4 but this extension is the best GA4 debugger. I use it every day. It is not complicated as other debuggers and everything is intuitive. Love it.
- (2023-06-15) Nick Vincent: Used to work great, now unusable as it no longer shows up in the Dev Tools, therefore is completely inaccessible and unusable. Tried across multiple Chrome profiles, tried uninstalling and reinstalling -- simply never appears in the Dev Tools (also confirmed GA4 running on sites tested).

- (2024-03-07, v:3.4.9) Oskar Risinger: All events is not showing anymore
Since monday 4th mars I've experienced that the debugger starts to malfunction. Events is not populating anymore unless you refresh the debugger but then you can't see more than one at a time but it seems to miss some events sometimes. I have uninstalled the debugger & cleared cookies & cache. I've checked our GTM debugger where all events still populates. Before everything worked perfectly. - (2023-06-15, v:3.4.2) Nick Vincent: Tool no longer works
This tool no longer works under Chrome for Windows, Version 113.0.5672.127 (Official Build) (64-bit). I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, I tried across multiple profiles. The icon shows green on sites as expected, yet the Dev Tools never show the GA4 Debugger option anymore (even in the far right double arrows to show additional dev tool tabs). It just......disappeared. Any ideas?
