- (2025-09-14) Joshua Bridges: This is the most infuriating experience I've ever had in a online course. For the love of god teachers please ignore this app.
- (2025-09-10) Z S: Holy god, this is the worst god damn program I have ever seen in my entire life, you would be better off doing anything else, the ID scan never works, it's inconsistent as you know what, and I personally believe this is the work of the devil himself because who on gods green earth would intentionally make something this bad for students? I personally believe this is a punishment for trying to progress my education, as if the finances alone weren't already a punishment. I have no clue why teachers are still employing this god forsaken software, but my best guess is that they truly could not give less of a flying you know what. I would rather try and download RAM from every page on every browser in existence than have to use this hell of a program. Using this is the equivalent of doing something right and correct every time, but getting slapped in the face for doing it. Never, in my entire life, have I felt HATE for a software, and that is not a word that I use lightly when it comes to things I vehemently dislike. I would sooner take my chances of shoving a fork in an industrial electrical socket than have to use the ID verification, which has about a good a chance of working as winning the Mega Millions lottery. Additionally, as you are reading this, and I assume you are as frustrated as I, let me give you some words of advice. Do NOT leave your camera plugged in, or microphone for that matter. This company is so damn sketchy, I'd wager the souls of everyone on this god forsaken planet that they sell your data to anyone interested in buying it. I wouldn't doubt for a micro instant that they have unrestricted access to your webcam and microphone, so please, for my and your sanity, unplug it. And if your camera is built in, put tape or anything really over it. For the love of god, if you are a teacher or person in the education system who is currently interested in a proctoring software, please, OPEN YOUR EYES, and realize that this software might just be a physical reincarnation of the secret tenth circle of hell. No, seriously, I'm not kidding. That is how abysmally terribly, awfully, dog this software is. I swear, they programmed this in a late afternoon, and every brain dead teacher and education higher up said "aw yep that looks good" and forced it on every poor poor student that were unfortunate enough to not have the foresight to see into the future, to see how UNEXCUSIBLY AWFUL THIS SOFTWARE IS, LIKE SERIOUSLY, HOW DO YOU MAKE SOMTHING SO BAD, YET PEOPLE KEEP USING IT??? I hope that natural selection eventually hurry's the hell up, and wipes the company that made this absolute hell of a program off the map, and into the deepest darkest pit of hell. It is of my personal belief that this program should be used on death row inmates, as a form of psychological torture. Better yet, use it as a form of interrogation of prisoners of war, that's how effective this stupid horrible virus of a program is as deteriorating my already degraded mental state. I hope who ever, or what ever created this program has to suffer for all eternity while attempting to complete a final that's due in fifteen minutes, because they couldn't get their ID to properly register. It doesn't even do a good job at what its designed for! You can open a tab up and quickly click the next button, and just have an open tab! Its just, so bad. I would rather walk 100 miles on broken glass, tetanus inducing razor blades, and surgical scalpels that have to deal with this abomination of a software. You would be better of jumping from the highest peak in all the world and landing on a series of metal spikes, covered in the most potent, concentrated neurotoxin, submerged in hydrochloric acid, filled with electric eels, sharks, and the most viscous piranhas known and unknown to man, than knowing that this existed, let alone, having to deal with it. I would sell my soul to the devil, if I could delete this program, trust me. Anyways, thankyou for coming to my Ted Talk.
- (2025-09-09) Larry Craft: Out of all of the Exam Proctor this one is absolute horrible. Their system can't even verify me as a student. These LAVC Biology teachers are just jealous because they didn't have the tech and the easy way compare to this generation of students and the future of many more.
- (2025-09-06) Andrew Minton: Bad program for lazy teachers
- (2025-08-30) Brian Southard: YuJa is an awful program. It does not function at all the way it says it will. I have only given it one star because Google won't let me rate it loweer.
- (2025-07-31) Kai Lahey: literally impossible to set up correctly. Pure garbage, whoever made this should be forced to use it as a punishment.
- (2025-05-18) Dan S: trash that barely works properly
- (2025-04-13) Nasir Badr: Atrocious
- (2025-04-02) Adrian Guzman: AWFUL
- (2025-03-15) OrigamiFolder 25: This thing is a mess. VERY VERY buggy and VERY invasive with the amount of information that it takes. Easily the worst part of any online school experience.
- (2025-02-04) Kyle Smetiouk: The absolute worst software I have EVER used. Get this off the app store. To all the university professors, stop torturing your students with this garbage!
- (2024-12-12) Maddy Mc: Yuja Verity deserves an award for being the absolute worst school proctoring software I have ever had the immense displeasure of encountering. My school is currently in a contract to use Yuja, and I sincerely wish they had chosen literally any other software instead. I would prefer actual malware to Yuja, even, though given the issues with not shutting down recordings despite saying it does, needing to monitor your entire computer even through incognito tabs, and requiring you to have your voice, screen, and web camera all accessible, Yuja is already glorified spyware in of itself. It has the most horrendous optimization I have ever seen for a software like this and it doesn't even work. Having this on my computer genuinely made me feel unsafe and creeped out. This software seems to fail to recognize built in webcams yet refuses to let you take any exam until it can detect one. Restarting your computer, uninstalling and reinstalling, not even searching through Yuja's own troubleshooting recommendations will help. For some strange reason, it does, however, detect built in microphones just fine. Then it tends to crash, resulting in tests being submitted before you're done, if it even lets you take the test to begin with. If you are a college administrator or in other similar position, and you're considering Yuja Verity as a proctoring software for your school, please do the students and yourself a favor, and stay as far away from Yuja as you can. Everything about it is sketchy and thrown together, and you're better off finding a different proctoring software to use. I assure you, there are plenty of fine options out there for you to choose from, and unlike Yuja, most of them actually work.
- (2024-12-02) Leigh Robeson: honestly liked the idea of this extension and it has been incorporated into the tests that I take for college. however I came across a lot of issues and haven't been able to get to to load to the tests without having to redo it over and over again. sometimes i even have to uninstall and reinstall it.
- (2024-11-11) Kelly Pearson: Very, very buggy. It also causes problems with my keyboard and mouse after the exam is done, so I have to uninstall it every time and reinstall it for the next test. I couldn't right click, and all my keyboard shortcuts (ctrl c for copy, for example) were disabled. For the entire laptop, not just a certain website!
- (2024-10-30) Kueller: Worst software I've ever had the displeasure of using.
- (2024-10-23) henry serrano: whoever made this deserved to be publicly shamed for the rest of their life. I wish I could give this a 0 instead
- (2024-10-15) Veronika Jones: First test I had to try it about 10 times before it let me take my test. Second test didn't work at all. I received a zero on my test! This added more stress onto the fact that this is my last class in my program, and I think I'm going to fail it. I would rather take an in-person test than use this. It's horrible.
- (2024-10-10) Rebecca Manthei: The other reviews are right. Required to have this for a class, i have a pretty beefy gaming pc. Did not want to work in the first place, once i got it to physically function, it is just straight up spyware. Does not stop recording when done with tests, it will keep recording you on the screen where it says it is 'ending recording' indefinitely. Requires the ability to modify your pc to function. Requires you let it work in incognito mode- even though it already is blocking you from opening new tabs and windows, and even if you launch the tests in a normal tab. Has no reason to need incognito access except to be more invasive spyware once you think it's turned off. If you must use this to pass a class, delete it from your pc immediately after you turn in your test, then make absolutely sure it was FULLY deleted. This is not something you want to keep around on your computer even if it is a school owned device.
- (2024-09-17) Liam McDonald: Terrible software, which is extremely buggy, and I've found 90% of the time, it will not stop running after I finish using it. I try to shut it down and stop it from recording my screen, but it simply won't.
- (2024-09-13) Joshua Anderson: Trash. Like others have said it is incredibly buggy and will sometimes not recognize my laptops built in camera... Additionally, it wants access to your entire computer even your browser even on incognito mode. I cannot imagine why it needs access to everything since you cannot take tests/quizzes without it active. It makes my computer run hot as others have stated due to horrendous optimization.
- (2024-09-13) Zack Meeks: Such a terrible proctoring service, adding immense stress to test taking. Literally doesn't work half the time, the software is so buggy and a ram hog. If my gaming PC struggles with this I can't imagine a student laptop.
- (2024-09-05) Marie Zerbe: Just used this extension for the first time this evening for an exam and it did perform seamlessly through the process and was very user-friendly for me. However, I am extremely bothered that whilst they had no issues coming into my space and taking over my screen, activating my camera, and recording all my silly bits of reading to myself, the tutorial videos did not bother at ANY POINT to provide any information on how to ensure the session is closed out and the extension disabled again once you are done. I guess as long as they can teach you how to set it up and get authenticated in order to be tracked, they don't care a damn bit to tell you how to cease it. Do better, YuJa. The tab said, "Ending your session" and continued to spin for 10 minutes, so I simply closed out the tab since I could see my grade was recorded successfully. I then found out over half an hour later that my camera was still on (although I had closed the privacy cover on my laptop) and the extension was still active. I can only hope my activity was not recorded and is not stored or shared anywhere. **Ensure to completely close out the entire window in which YuJa was active to close the session; closing only the tab after finishing the exam for which it was needed is not enough to disable it!
- (2024-09-03) Davin White: Invades my privacy and then crashes my browser, forcing me to fail my tests
- (2024-09-02) Alec Froning: Don't work
- (2024-08-30) charline ‘’: i cant get it to work
- (2024-08-29) Semaj Gethers: i can't get this to work at all !
- (2024-08-27) • strawberri •: I seriously can't get this to work :I
- (2024-03-10) Peter de Luca: Not a robust software. Students can still take the exams even if their recording fails. Sometimes the software just stops working all together.
- (2024-01-28) Oakley Barham: Just like LockDown broswer this stuff is just another grab at spyware schools are being manipulated into using. Can't wait for the class action lawsuits schools will have on their hands when people realize whats going on.
- (2024-01-17) Nadezda Nersesova: horrendous
- (2024-01-13) Christine A: Glitchy and unreliable!!!!
