A Lightweight extension that displays the length of the current YouTube playlist
A Lightweight extension that displays the length of the YouTube playlist you are viewing or watching. It works on both the Playlist viewing page, and the watching page, blending in with YouTube's existing stats.
The display can be customized to your preference - these options are accessible from the extension's popup (as shown in the video above). Please leave your feedback and suggestions for any extra options you would like!
For playlists longer than 100 videos, you will need to scroll to the final video on the Playlist view page for a full calculation. Unfortunately this will not work on the watch page as YouTube only loads up to 400 videos.
Hover on the length displayed to view how many videos have been counted.

Known Bugs:
- The duration display sometimes 'flashes' a few times when going into playlist view.

Fix wrong video index being used after rearranging active playlist (for remaining time after
current video).
Add an indicator to show that the full playlist's length has not been calculate (and further
details on hover.

- Fantastic extension, always reliable, does exactly as it says. Suggestion: Allow an option that shows the playlists time adjusted for playback speed. Update: Five stars far too low, developer listens to feedback and implements features in a wonderful and very fast way! The literal only improvement I can see from here is making the playback speed auto detect from the video. (Though I understand the difficulties in programming that). :D

- Worked like a charm for long time hence 5 stars. Now it shows me 00:00:00 as time - it seems to not count videos properly. Might be something on my browser (Opera) - but just in case did youtube change something and break the plugin? EDIT: New version fixed issues, thanks for update :)

- Works well Highly recommend this to anyone looking to keep their internet time in check! I do notice a ton of messages in Chrome dev-tools with this extension active that "Cannot read properties of null (reading '0')" whenever watching a video without a playlist or queue active. It doesn't impact performance in any noticeable way, the messages keep showing because the extension is actively looking for playlist values for anyone curious.

- BTW is this project open-source? If so where can the source code be found? Previously the extension used to show the playlist duration and remaining time when the playlist was being played. But now that doesn't seem to work anymore.

However, I would suggest the developer to add a feature where it could calculate the remaining time for the playlist to finish playing all the videos. It would be useful as it could allow the user to know how much time they had watched or how much times remaning for the playlist to end. Anyhow, thanks for the extension, else it is very useful.
