  • (2025-07-03) Kathleen Reynolds: This is only my second day using Lingopie, but already it's exceeding my expectations.
  • (2025-06-24) Diego Martinez: Its fun to not take learning Spanish so seriously. A person can jump around and learn words. I'm learning fairly fast and getting more familiar with the language.
  • (2025-06-24) Jake Cross: Works great. Changes the game. JUST WISH IT WORKED ON MOBILE TOO!
  • (2025-06-20) Tom O'Keefe: Excellent tool to learn any language. It provides film, short stories, vocabulary exercises and other modes to enable you to absorb the language through multi-media
  • (2025-06-14) Benjamin Velazquez: It's been very quick and easy to use. I like that you can watch shows that you are genuinely interested in seeing while learning a new language. I just started watching the mandalorian in german.
  • (2025-06-08) Amal Mathew: Awsome tool to learn a language. I am learning german with this. The best way to learn is to subscribe to netflix and disney with the lingopie extension which makes the learning so enjoyable too. they have to improve their AI assistant other than that it is very good.
  • (2025-06-07) Sarah Haden: Really enjoy being able to follow my favourite programs. Love the flashcard function too.
  • (2025-06-05) Julian Mabee: This extension is a very helpful tool for discovering what exists in other languages on these platforms, but lacks some very essential quality-of-life improvements. On Netflix, with this extension, there is no way to search by language and by keyword at the same time, which makes it difficult and time-consuming to find specific shows or movies in the language of your choice. The extension has a lot of potential, but definitely lacks a lot in execution that could make it a 4 or 5 star product.
  • (2025-06-04) Swank The Tank: honestly great product if you get it working, i had disney+ and lingopie and the disney+ section wouldn't work. i contacted support and they gave me a few options, but it just worked when i tried to use it again with out troubleshooting anything. so maybe you can't use some things right away.
  • (2025-05-24) Clay Smith: So far so good!
  • (2025-05-21) Andy Grogan: Perfect for learning in a REAL setting and not rote words.
  • (2025-05-16) James Squire: This is an amazing app, marred only by it requiring multiple sign-ins, which can be confusing since it isn't clear for which sign-in credentials each popup wants: Lingopie, or the streaming service? I made some educated guesses, and now can enjoy this fantastic app. I can imagine how some would be confused though - Lingopie; you've done the hard work with this amazing product. Now just make it clear what credentialing is being asked and you'll fix the 1 star reviews from confused customers.
  • (2025-05-15) Shane Hendricks: Good luck figuring out how to watch this on your TV! Confusing.
  • (2025-05-05) William Kennedy: Most fun app for learning language.
  • (2025-04-23) Marilyn Bouman: Can't log in. Can't access Netflix. Can't do much of anything.
  • (2025-04-21) Luzita Varela: Really great, fun and effective!
  • (2025-04-14) Elene Nikolava: very helpful!
  • (2025-04-14) mario waring: Honestly pretty good, the app works fine. Improvements I'd hope for would be 1. Support for unrestricted access to all Netflix movies / TV shows. 2. Integrations across other video platforms would be great. Will update here for future enhancements!
  • (2025-04-06) Phillip Allen: I really like this product. I was able to buy a lifetime subscription to the software and have used it mostly for Spanish. Its so much better polished than competitors and works as you would expect it to (which def isn't the norm in the language learning space). I especially like that they are adding more integrations with other content providers (like Disney+) and I would like to see that expand to Viki and Crunchyroll for Asian languages eventually. I am using a Macbook and Netflix mostly and have had no issues.
  • (2025-03-31) Z C: No Arabic support. Really expensive while other provide it for FREE!
  • (2025-03-30) Jeremy: Honestly been dreaming of this functionality for a long, long time. It's such a terrific service. It gets those pesky little vocab words and slang just right. Really gives me hope of last mile success at language fluency.
  • (2025-03-23) Marco Albanese: perfect
  • (2025-03-22) Lauren Pacek (Lauren Pacek): C'est formidable. J'adore. The interactive subtitles are so useful. My French comes and goes. I watch a lot of foreign language shows/ movies with subtitles. But they speak too fast so I have to pause and then look up the new word. This combines it all into one step. Great selection of shows, too!
  • (2025-03-18) stephen Givens: Easiest way to learn ever made just watch stuff and click to make it save stuff for later to see if you remember and then repeat until you do. It's multiple choice has no grades and can be repeat until you get 100 percent. I am learning four language at once just to watching cartoons.
  • (2025-03-17) Diane Rodriguez: more netflix series please. Thank you for working with netflix ad plans as well!
  • (2025-03-16) Reza Yazdani: I use Lingopie for learning French and I find it so useful and effective. It is the fastest and easiest way to learn a new language.
  • (2025-03-15) G N: i loved the idea of the dual subtitle and subscribed about a year ago. Barley watched anything. I was hoping for watching some movies or TV shows on netflix in spanish but the selection is very (I mean very!) limited. Maybe after further development it will be an amazing platform but for now I dont think it worth the money.
  • (2025-03-10) Lusus Sylvanus: Plenty of content, lots of customization options for learning, and the people running the service seem to be working hard to keep making it better because there is more content on there now than there even was just a few months ago (my learning habits are terrible, i got started for a week and then shelfed it for months)... which means they are steadily working on expanding their library. I don't regret paying for the lifetime subscription one bit! If I can just improve my personal learning habits and stick with this i really believe it will teach me well! Will return to update my review in a few months if i've made any progress!
  • (2025-03-10) Duke Togo: 30 minutes in and I'm hooked. This is the best way to learn a new language!
  • (2025-02-26) Derrick Hoard: If you are serious about learning and you're one of those people that are like "oh im just gonna watch kdramas to practice" but then you just end up getting lost in the story...lingopie does help. I like watching a new Kdrama I've never seen and pausing it anytime i see a sentence I wanna say in the future and then go study them. It is really nice.
  • (2025-02-20) Justin Williams: I've decided to invest in a lifetime subscription to Lingopie, drawn by its unique content that’s hard to find elsewhere and ideal for language learning. One exciting perk is the ability to watch select Netflix and Disney Plus titles—though, unlike Language Reactor, you’re limited to a curated selection compatible with their system rather than having full access to everything on those platforms. This restriction can feel limiting, but it also ensures a tailored experience that integrates smoothly with Lingopie’s tools. That said, the experience with Netflix and Disney Plus content doesn’t quite match the seamless quality of Lingopie’s native offerings. The practice exercises are diverse and engaging, especially with their original content, where clips from shows illustrate the context of words and phrases. This approach makes comprehension much easier, grounding vocabulary in real usage rather than presenting it in isolation. Lingopie offers a 7-day free trial, so there’s no risk in giving it a shot. While Language Reactor boasts more features and broader compatibility with YouTube and Netflix, Lingopie shines with its curated approach, excelling with its own content and now supplemented by select Netflix and Disney Plus titles. I use both tools, but I’ve noticed that Language Reactor’s developers seem to have slowed down on updates and improvements lately, which has me leaning toward Lingopie for the long haul.
  • (2025-02-20) Laurie O'Dowd: Has greatly improved my understanding of German in such a short space of time - very helpful tool for language learning
  • (2025-02-18) carlos faurby: Makes it simple to stay motivated
  • (2025-02-14) Tiffany Monaco: It has helped me learn french so fast, i love you.:)
  • (2025-02-11) Adrian R: Love this. Works so well and is so useful for learning languages
  • (2025-02-02) Babak Rs: this is the ultimate way of learning a language effectively
  • (2025-01-25) Cheryl Preyer: Lingopie makes watching shows on Netflix a great way to add to my language lessons - without even feeling like I'm studying. Seeing two sets of subtitles while I watch is amazingly helpful at this point in my journey - as is adjusting the speed slightly. And capturing keywords for later study? That's just icing on the cake! I'm eager to see program choices expand.
  • (2025-01-18) Simon Jones: Unbelievable. I've no idea how they've done this. I can now watch shows that I've watched with subtitles in their native German with all the Lingopie add-ons and language resources actually in the video. Amazing
  • (2025-01-15) Max Morris: Fantastic app, my langauge learning has exceled so much since I Bought this app, Would highly reccomend it
  • (2025-01-11) Valery Z: Very good idea when it comes to watching video, with both original and english subtitles, ability to look up and save unknown words, ability to get grammar insights. My only compaint is that with Italian, the content offered is fairly limited. For instance some shows are only available with few episodes, not full seasons.
  • (2025-01-08) Mack Paul: I love this program. I've been trying to learn by watching Spanish programs on Netflix for some time now. This makes it a lot easier because the translations are at my fingertips.
  • (2025-01-05) Jessica Borelli: I've been living in Italy for many years and have accessed many language apps. This is the ONLY one that I have ever known that can be used with movies and television, which, beyond actual conversation, comic books, and maybe podcasts, is the only way to experience authentic conversational language. The learning features, speed control, subtitle control, one-click vocab saving, connected to with the access to Netflix movies in the target language, as well as other content in the target language make this, by far, the best language learning app I have come across in all these years. Anyone who is complaining about interface does not understand the value that is kind of learning offers and that lingopie is the only company offering it. You won't find a better way to learn a language outside of classes combined with complete immersion.
  • (2025-01-02) Pooya Monajemi: Idea is great, implementation is not great, but it does the job - They replaced the Netflix player with their own. It loses some functions, e.g. you don't have a good view into episodes anymore. You need to go back to the Lingopie main page, then go to the library, then hover over your show, then click on "i" to see the episodes - Their player also don't support preview when you seek to a different time - Homepage really needs a "continue watching" feature, instead of you having to go to the library - Search is very very poor. It only finds English titles (e.g. will not find Monarca), and it doesn't respect filters. - Also needs a "per platform" search. I may only be interested in Netflix shows. - Translations are not great. They take the main Netflix CC text and do their own translation, which is at times obviously wrong and appears auto-generated. - For group lessons you are forced into a monthly plan that's too expensive for what it is.
  • (2024-12-30) Christina McCarty: I have had LIngopie for going on two years. I really enjoy the programs and the progress I am making in building my Spanish vocabulary. It helps if you write down and review the words and also to watch the videos a few times, not just watch. Definitely has helped improve my Spanish listening comprehension as well.
  • (2024-12-21) Keith Harper: You won't be binge-watching, as others say, because you'll be too busy updating your vocabulary. Lingopie is a great learning tool, that's for sure.
  • (2024-12-14) Harper Serafini: It's lit.
  • (2024-12-13) Thom Parks: this is an essential tool to really learning a new language. It lets you binge watch great series and learn all at the same time. What could be better?
  • (2024-12-11) Gursahil Singh: great app
  • (2024-12-10) indialindsey: I've been using the platform for about a month and I enjoy it. I purchased the lifetime membership, it is so worth it! I've found the movies and shows with both Spanish and English subtitles useful and I have some new fav Spanish movies! I enjoy the group classes as well. This review would be five stars but the subscription isn't clear on how many group classes you can do. Some days I'm able to register and other days I'm prompted to purchase yet another monthly membership.
  • (2024-12-08) Oscar Calderon: Great way to learn English. To learn new vocabulary and hear the words spoken by english man. Learning while relaxing. Awesome!
