The 2FAS Auth Browser Extension allows you to log in to any online service with 2-factor authentication enabled, faster! Easy set up in three steps: 1. Start using the 2FAS Auth Browser Extension When you want to log in using a 2FA token, simply select two-factor authentication token input field, click the 2FAS Auth Browser Extension icon, and confirm login on your phone! Secure and fast log in. Simply pair the service you want to login to with your 2FAS Auth app, then 2FAS Auth will automatically select your token for future logins, no searching or typing required! Free access — no account required. 2FAS Auth is an easy-to-use authentication app that protects access to your online services and accounts. Relying on a single password for your personal accounts, like Facebook or Instagram, often puts your data and sensitive information at risk. The 2FAS Authenticator App generates one-time codes called Time-based One-time Passwords (TOTP) or HMAC-based (event-based) One-time Passwords (HOTP) for your account. By creating these codes offline and changing them every 30 seconds or every login, 2FAS drastically increases the security of your information.

  • (2025-07-10) CORE jake: The whole purpose of 2FA is to use a separate device. Weird how almost any reviewer that wrote a 1 star review doesn't get that their dissatisfaction is with 2FA and that the extension doesn't allow to undermind the whole security process of it.
  • (2025-07-04) Marcell: 10/10 top 1 app for 2fa if you value your time and like a good looking app
  • (2025-06-26) Rosanna Moreno Godine: I love 2Fas in general. I use it on all my devices. It's secure, fast, and has wonderfully smooth integration. ❤️
  • (2025-05-03) David C: I have received notification browser extension data error.
  • (2025-04-13) Dominik Schneider (mrTag): Setup was straight forward and works as advertised, making the 2 factor authentication just a bit less tedious without compromising security. Btw: the whole point of 2 factor authentication is that you need your phone to log into an account, so that it is not enough when someone only has access to your username and password. So the issue most negative reviews cite here is actually the feature of 2 factor authentication! Please don't compromise your security by having both the password and the 2 factor codes on one device out of convenience!
  • (2025-02-20) koko: Notifications take long to receive the notification, and why on earth do I need to reach to my phone to approve the code? it takes me same time and effort to open the app and type the code myself!!! Why not the extension generate and insert code straight away?! I have already approved the extension during the setup process!!
  • (2024-10-22) Mark Cimarosti: Easiest, best cross platform 2 factor auth app out there. Been using the free version for several years after I deleted Google auth and Last Pass because of issues. One must understand the basics of using technology if they choose to use it. It's a authentication app. It does what it is intended to do.
  • (2024-10-08) Alexander Schepanovski: Requires a lot of steps to install and configure and doesn't work anyway. Can't work on itself requires a mobile app. The whole process is idiotic, instead of saving those tokens locally to generate OTP, it sends a push request to your phone, where you need to confirm and then it supposed to send OTP back or something. The last part never worked though, so I am guessing.
  • (2024-10-05) Hồng Sơn Võ: Good!!!
  • (2024-09-22) Doug Fisher: Works cross-platform on iOS and Android devices by using a simple local network backup file. Just what I was looking for.
  • (2024-09-14) Ryan (Zaazu): Can't fault it, works perfect.
  • (2024-09-09) Robert: Never sends a push notification to my phone after linking. Doesn't work
  • (2024-08-27) Mark Rapson: Does exactly what it says on the tin. Great replacement for authy.
  • (2024-08-11) Andrei Alexandru: very nice and helpful app. I'm using Aegis, but also will use this one on my new iphone.
  • (2024-08-09) Icey: The connection doesn't even pairing with phone app (on Android)
  • (2024-07-30) Bruno: Awful! horrible! terrivel! It is just an extension to COPY the codes generated in the mobile app! WHY IN THE HELL ANYONE WOULD NEED THAT? JUST SEND IT THROUGH WHATSAPP / SMS / WHATEVER TO YOURSELF INSTEAD!!!
  • (2024-07-23) Shawn Jiang: sorry not for me, still requires me to pick up the phone.
  • (2024-07-21) Anoir Ben Tanfous: This so far the best extension for 2FA... It is not perfect yet but I hope the authors will allow using custom SVG/PNG icons for services, make the exports compatible with Bitwarden or a standard, allow to use biometrics in desktop computers as an additional security layer (optional)...
  • (2024-07-06) Samuel Viana: Unfortunately, this extension is useless. I synced it with the Android app using the QR cod. It appears in the paired devices on the Android app, but when I click the button in the desktop browser, nothing happens. It only displays the notification that a push was sent to the Android app, but nothing appears in the Android device.
  • (2024-06-30) Sam Barnes: Almost never get the push notification on my phone. On the rare occasion that it does work it will only pop up 5 or 10 minutes later.
  • (2024-06-08) Matt Collinge: Brilliant! I came to your site to literally suggest this type of browser extension to take the hassle out of entering 2FA codes on my PC, and was so pleased to find you'd already developed one!! Worked perfectly first time & doesn't compromise on security. Awesome stuff, thanks!!
  • (2024-05-27) Ruth Even Haim: Doesn't work at all. The onboarding video and what actually happens when you install this extension have nothing in common. It keeps popping an access request on my mobile 2FAS app, so that I can't use it, no matter how many time I approve the access it's asking for. And the chrome extension basically does nothing.
  • (2024-05-11) Sid: I'm not sure what all of the fuss is about. You really don't want to be able to access your tokens from the web browser. You're creating another "point of failure." The less avenues for someone to be able to access your 2fa tokens, the better. To the dude who said, "So if I don't have my phone at hand, I am SOL." -- why in the world would your phone not be near you? In any case, if it isn't for some weird reason, I also have the app on my Apple Watch. This is much easier than quickly trying to open my phone and hope I type the token fast enough before the timer runs out and have to type in the new one. Step 1: Login to website Step 2: Website asks for 2fa token Step 3: Use either shortcut (kb shortcut is faster. I set mine to CTRL-SHFT-X) or click the extension icon on the toolbar. Step 4: Open the PUSH notification on your phone and select the website, then it gets auto-filled out in your web browser and you're done. It goes by super fast, less than 10 seconds. It's open source so the code can be audited. It's on both iOS, watchOS, and Android (unsure about wearOS). You can export and import your tokens. You can back them up to cloud. This is all free and it works perfectly. If you want an extension that autofills your tokens, go support Bitwarden and give them $10 for the premium feature, they deserve it. Otherwise, deal with the 10 seconds it takes for this extension to do its wonderful job. The only con I can think of is having to make the extension recognize I need a token so we have to either click the extension icon or use the kb shortcut. I'm not even sure if it's possible for an extension to recognize a website is asking for a 2FA request or not, but if its, having that process automated would be a nice QoL update. Either way, it took me too long to remember this extension existed, I wish I had downloaded it 2 years ago.
  • (2024-05-10) Jackie Gibbs: Garbage. It brings up app in mobile phone then does nothing. What's the point?
  • (2024-04-27) Trey Joyner: Still requires you to use your phone every time, what is the point then?
  • (2024-04-09) Jay Kouwenhoven: Just giving a 5 star as well as this does exactly what it says it should do
  • (2024-03-29) 鄭清遠: 脫褲子放屁的軟體,還需要智慧型手機二次確認,顯得很機車
  • (2024-03-18) Grzegorz Nowak: Sorry but this is exactly what I would not want from an extension. Was hoping this would allow me to see and copy token codes rather than perform tricks in order to eventually paste wrong account's token into the login screen after having to deal with popups on Android. This is by no way quicker or easier than already existing solutions from Redmond or Mountain View.
  • (2024-03-13) Ritesh Khandelwal: just giving 5 stars to rate it up, because this application really deserves it I don't a better free solution than this
  • (2024-03-11) Lernos Rotosch: I wish the browser extension allowed you to view all of your 2FA codes and copy any one of them by clicking a button next to it, essentially being a mirror of the phone app. Right now it's too inconvenient, doesn't always recognize a text field and only works in the browser. If you won't make a dedicated desktop app, at least allow us to view all our codes in the extension, or else what's the point of having it? Still better than Authy though, and I'll be glad to update my review if the devs satisfy this request.
  • (2024-03-10) f sv: I find it great that it send PUSH to your mobile instead of having to type in the code.
  • (2024-03-10) Med Gorrab: Was about to migrate from the now-defunct desktop version of Authy to this, but the lack of support for a standalone desktop use made me look for some other alternatives.. I mean, still needs a phone if you're installing it on a PC?!
  • (2024-02-27) Dylan: What's the point of a desktop extension if I still need my phone? At least I can export away, unlike Authy.
  • (2024-02-25) Inno X: It is unable to detect text field. I have to check on phone and type the damn otp 95% of the time. It would be better if it could show the otp on desktop as well.
  • (2024-02-15) Brad Bulger: EVERY TIME I have to go reply to a prompt on my phone. So if I don't have my phone at hand, I am SOL. The "Remember my decision" button is just a placebo, I guess. Super awkward to use even when I do have the phone here.
  • (2024-02-14) Varnit Professional: For past 1 week, I used this extension but android app first when my work mobile died randomly and for 6 days, all my stuff including logins and 2fas were gone (fortunately everything's back as IC issue was resolved). I was using Aegis Authenticator app so opted for 2FAS Authenticator app due to cloud backup and addon support but this addon is useless even if you link it with app as if you lose device and want to login into any website, you cannot since it relies on mobile to get 2fa codes. Backups (both encrypted and unencrypted) from several apps like Aegis fails to get imported but dev thinks it is problem with my backup file. The site favicons are letters or wrong icons. It considers Amazon and MS outlook to be same with same icon and letter. Also, I tried all methods to check how far this addon works standalone if anything happens to my mobile and found it is best to use winauth authenticator (which still works strong despite being discontinued) or get a secondary cheap phone (but no guarantee that will work if you don't carry with it all the time). Also, when you try to enter codes with app and addon activated and linked, it doesn't add it once, you need to go through 3 timers to get it entered with no success. Hey dev, please tell us where does this addon stands if it relies on mobile and if mobile stops working one day with which it is linked? I really could love this due to its colors but in terms of functionalities, bugs and usability, it still needs serious work. One cannot even add this as PWA. I couldn't find this in edge addon store or firefox addon store. Will wait for a month more for dev to improve this realistically before going back to Aegis or Authenticator Pro or ente Auth - 2FA Authenticator. More, Hey dev, Learn from WinOTP Authenticator, https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9NF2RGQKX1MV?hl=en-us&gl=US and, WinAuth Authenticator, https://winauth.github.io/winauth/index.html
  • (2024-02-09) Sam Coupland: Feels very secure and works every time
  • (2024-02-02) N U: For some reason I am not able to scan this code. Tried manually to enter the code characters and nothing. Same applies to MS Edge web store.
  • (2024-01-13) Eirinaios Theodorou: Works really well and as intented. Really happy with how smooth the whole process is to setup my account. Good job devs! Keep it up!
  • (2024-01-08) till ithz: works well, no fake review here, maybe low reviews are from people who dont know how to use this. I would like an option to automatically remember AND approve so I dont have to find my phone each time.
  • (2023-12-31) John B: Works great, but you still have to pull out your phone. Not much benefit for those of us who aren't valuable targets. Request a "mere mortals" mode, where it doesn't prompt on phone.
  • (2023-11-26) Alter Moonspell: Doesn't work for me...
  • (2023-11-15) Emaili Emaili: Absolutely terrible extension lacking almost every essential feature required to make it function. Each prompt requires you to accept the request from your phone first before being granted access to the token. However, even then, you still face issues actually accessing the 6-digit code. This is the most ridiculous extension I have seen to date, and I cannot believe that 2FAS is responsible for creating and publishing this app!
  • (2023-11-09) davidguy207: Works just like intended.
  • (2023-11-09) davidguy207: Works just like intended.
  • (2023-11-07) Andy Dao: No longer works in Arc Browser.
  • (2023-10-23) Christian Nicolau: I am trying to log in to GitHub. I am using the brave browser. My android phone is paired to this extension via the 2fas Auth app. Upon receiving the browser request on the phone, I am told to 'add services to the 2FAS app'. What services are or how to add them to the app is nowhere to be found. Conclusion: The whole process is not working. Case closed.
