The Seymour Captions application offers a convenient, stress-free way to quickly identify accessible content in your online classes, research initiatives, and video searches.
Once installed, the application will scan for Youtube links and present you with a visual cue of whether there are captions available. A green icon will appear if the video offers manual captions, a yellow icon means that it has automatic captions installed, or a red icon will be displayed if there are no captions available at all.
Seymour Captions was built for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students or those who rely on captioned videos. Seymour Captions was also designed for color blind and low-vision users. You can increase the size of the icons if needed. The data dashboard feature will provide a breakdown of your video check results.
