A data filter lets you include or exclude incoming event data from being processed by Google Analytics.
Analytics evaluates data filters from the point of creation forward.
This extension will allow you to be able to filter all your team's internal traffic from your data stream within Google Analytics 4 without having to use IP addresses to filter this data.

- (2023-11-16) Bojan Basrak: The plugin overview is terrible as it doesn't explain what the plugin even does. However, it does work - when activated, all GA4 hits will have a traffic_type parameter (tt) value set as "internal". By default, GA4 has a built-in Internal Traffic Filter that is triggered by the above parameter-value pair. The default filter state is "Testing" and my advice is to leave it like that. If you set it to "Active", your internal traffic will not be recorded in GA4, but if the filter is in a "Testing" state, you can create comparisons and reporting filters with the built-in dimension "Test data filter name". If all of this looks confusing, here's a detailed explanation: https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/filtering-internal-traffic-ga4-self-id-without-ip-addresses-basrak
