Description from store ## Overview Welcome to the Webflow Collection Sorter Chrome extension! If you use Webflow to build websites, you know it can be tedious to manually sort the items in a CMS collection. That's where our extension comes in. With Webflow Collection Sorter, you can easily and quickly rearrange the order of your CMS collection items using a simple drag-and-drop interface. No more wasted time trying to manually sort your collection items - just install the extension and organise your content. ## How to Sort CMS Collection Items 1. Once you have installed the Chrome extension, you will see a new "Sort" button on the collection listing page in Webflow. 2. Before you can use the Sort button, you need to make sure that your Collection has a "Sort Order" number field. Note that the field type should be “Number” and the field name should exactly be “Sort Order”. If this field is not present, you will need to add it in order to enable the "Sort" button. 3. Click the "Sort" button to open the modal. The modal displays only the Name, Slug, Sort Order, and Creation Date fields. 4. You can sort the collection items by dragging and dropping them into the desired order. When you are finished, click the "Save" button. 5. The "Sort Order" field will be updated for each collection item to reflect the new order of the items. 6. To view the updated order on the front-end of your website, make sure that your collection is sorted by the "Sort Order" field. This will ensure that the order is displayed correctly on the front-end pages.

  • (2023-10-06) Asheem Shrestha: At first like other reviews, it was not working properly. Even after adding the "Sort Order" field the button was disabled. But it worked for me when I tried doing it on incognito mode. The problem might be with chrome browser and other tabs already using so much memory.
  • (2023-08-23) Kevin Hair: Like other reviews here, can't get it to work either.
  • (2023-08-17) Edward Chan: Definitely a useful extension to help facilitate a better site building experience for users. One note - after following the setup instructions, the "Sort" button was still disabled, but it worked after I disabled and then re-enabled the Chrome extension.
  • (2023-06-25) K J: I was able to sort them, I need them to visually show the way that I sorted them though. I'm not interested in just seeing them in a manually sorted way. I need it to actually sort so it shows up on the site in a different order...
  • (2023-03-19) Exumax WD: This extention looks like a fantastic feature, but unfortunately it’s not working for me. I have done everything exactly as described, but the [SORT] button remains greyed out with the message that I must add the number field “Sort Order”, even though I’ve already done this. Could someone help me find the cause of this?
  • (2023-03-17) Hunter Reynolds: Current Date: 3/17/2023 - Not working for me. I've followed the documentation exactly, but the button remains greyed out. This looks like such a cool tool, I wish it was working! Will update review when fixed! (MAC, Chrome)
  • (2023-01-31) Kevin: Wow, love this, so useful. But I often find my clients asking to arrange their items so it would be amazing if this plugin would be working in the Editor as well!
  • (2023-01-10) Sean Young: Already excited about this extension. I've had a couple of CMS Collections that I manage with manual Sort Orders, and it's such an improvement to the workflow being able to drag & drop. Some things I'd like to see with it if possible, is if when you activate it, the modal that pops up with the list to drag & drop also adheres to the existing Sort Order numerical values, so that we don't have to do too much to reconfigure it. It would also be really awesome if the Sort Order could recognize Archived items & automatically place them towards the bottom of the list!
