ChatGPT File Uploader is a Chrome extension that allows you to upload large files to chat.openai.com in smaller chunks. This can be useful when you need to upload a large file to a ChatGPT that has a character size limit. With File ChatGPT File Uploader, you can split the file into smaller chunks between 1 - 15000 characters and upload them one at a time. The extension adds a button to the page that lets you select a file and automatically splits it into chunks and uploads them for you.
Currently supports the following file formats: txt, .py, .pdf, docx, .xlsx and many more.

- nov 20, 2024 helloo its been working perfectly before but now.. it wont send automatically on its own??? it just uploads the first part and i have to manually click it and it wont send the next parts anymore nov. 24, 2024 its still not working?? could someone pls let me know if there's an alternative? need help with this badly

- it is one of the best extension as it allows you to use it with no paywalls but there is only one space for improvement is that when sidebar is open then the ui overlaps with the search bar which can be easily fixed by using proper css property or making search bar little smaller

- When you get it fixed and working on chatgbt again, don't forget to install the prompts that chatgbt should not respond untill part x/x has been uploaded and given next steps. Edit: two weeks later and this current version still sucks.

- Please explain how i can change the settings of this extension to old one because when i upload a file it upload in parts . That looks it upload in different parts and sessions. I want to upload the whole file at once.

- Please change the settings of this extension to old one. As now it takes a break between uploading the document and starts to analyze that part. Make it like it was previously as unless/until the whole document did not get uploaded it didn't respond.

- is there any way that it will automatically upload each part without being interrupted by Chat GPT to start on an analysis of the most recently uploaded part - at the moment it seems that each part must be manually uploaded. Maybe Im missing something?

- Simply amazing extension. Thank you! Need image upload functionality also but giving 5 stars for the working text and pdf upload. Somewhere I read previously this extension supported reading images also. If google does not allow it then can you please try releasing a version with image upload functionality in Edge Addons?

- Places the uploader button in the chat box and keeps it there, making it nearly impossible to chat. Wasted hours until I figured out the problem was ChatGPT File Uploader. Maybe you could turn it off and just use it only when uploading chunks of files. Or, try another plugin/extension, or don't.

- I love this extension. My only irritation is that the submit file button covers the text box. So when I'm trying to type a message to GPT, I can't always see what I'm typing. Which I could move that component around the page to be more convenient.

- This functionality exists in the Paid ChatGPT4, but before this there was no way I know of to load documents into ChatGPT3.5!! Worked first try, will save me lots of time with my novel writing, thanks!!

- Why does it only load part of the file .txt and not split it into pieces? I wanted to upload a book on language learning methodology and analyze it, but only part of it loaded with an error, and then the chat froze completely.

- Hey, the pug-in was very useful and work properly for me until the new update of chatgpt. now the problem is before i get thee answer, it just moves into the next message before completing the whole answers given by GPT. Hope the developer will solve the problem very soon.
