PhishTension is a browser extension that checks URLs that the user is currently viewing to see if they are phishing sites. It was developed to help users protect themselves from scam attacks by finding URLs that are used to trick people.
Phishing attacks are a common type of online fraud in which attackers trick users into clicking on legitimate links that lead to fake websites meant to steal sensitive information like login credentials or credit card numbers.
