The Volume Booster extension is a tool designed to enhance the audio output of supported media players. Whether you're watching videos or listening to music, this extension aims to elevate your audio experience by boosting the volume level beyond the standard limitations with greater clarity and impact.
The extension installs a "2x" button next to the settings button of the YouTube player. It is disabled by default. If the user clicks the button once, the audio gain node is installed on the source node, causing the audio volume to increase level twice (200%; similar to VLC player). You can click the button once more to deactivate the boosting.
Note:
The compatibility of this extension with your audio equalizer extension may vary. Its compatibility is dependent on the method used by the equalizer to perform audio filtering, whether it is applied directly to the player (not compatible) or to the page itself (compatible).

- I'm typically pretty paranoid about installing extensions, but I took the chance after reading the reviews and this works PERFECTLY! It literally adds a button IN the youtube video player next to the captions and settings and it blends in perfectly, the options are easy to edit with a right click of the extension and all you gotta do is save and refresh for the changes to take effect. It's turned off by default to ensure you don't get scared by the volume boost on louder videos and extremely easy to turn on with a button that's once again, IN THE VIDEO PLAYER!! Sorry I just find that part really cool.

- Works very nicely. Puts the option right in the video player where your captions button and such are. Only activates when you click it so videos don't jumpscare you. I wish it could go over 4x volume but at the same time that's probably to not allow people to destroy their eardrums lol

- As far as I know, this is the ONLY YouTube volume booster extension on the Chrome Web Store that lets you use full-screen mode while it's active. Plus, it integrates directly into the YouTube player, so you don’t have to enable it manually every time, which is a huge plus.

- it is awesome, however, you cannot use it on youtube clips, which rlly sucks because then you cant listen to your favourite part of the song with louder audio otherwise, it is great :)
