This extension is designed to fix YouTube search and de-clutter your search page to make it less distracting.
FEATURES
1. Remove suggestions like "For you", "People also search for", "Searches related to", "Learn while you're at home", "Related to your search", "People also watched", "Other people are watching", "Recommended to you" and "Latest YouTube posts" from your feed.
2. Remove Shorts from search results
3. Remove watched content from results.
4. Remove Live Videos from search results
5. Remove time-stamped content from results.
6. Remove artist and verified channel content from results.
7. Individual toggles for turning off sections. Eg. Horizontal Cardlist, Shorts Panel, Auto-Generated YouTube Mixes and many more.
8. Use an option to permanently redirect "shorts" back to the normal video page.
9. Turn off playlists from appearing in search results.
10. Hide YouTube mixes and reels suggestions.
11. Remove musician sidebar(optional).
12. Filter out channel listings from results.
13. Video Spotlight to highlight videos in the search page (optional).
14. Centered video title (optional).
15. Centered video description (optional).
16. An options page to turn off visual changes.
IS IT SAFE?
Absolutely. This is some barebones JavaScript to detect elements and some CSS to apply visual changes. There are no trackers phoning home or telemetry scripts working in the background in this extension. Not to mention no data is being sent or shared with any third party or the developer. It's completely open source so you can audit the code.
PRIVACY POLICY
This extension does not send or receive data of any kind nor does it use any cookies. This means no analytics of any kind.

- (2025-06-10) noie 753: It's useful when you are trying to search for specific things but used all the time can cause lag trying to find exact matches, when doing a broader search. For example, Searching up "song", there will be a lot of lag trying to find videos with song in the name. I highly recommend you download it but just don't always have it turned on.

- (2025-01-31) Lieutenant BaconWaffles: Hides lots of unwanted things, but even this baby can't do things like adding a "do not recommend channel" to search results, or actually making search results relevant to what I asked. I'm nor surprised because Youtube borked their search relevancy just as hard as google search results, which is now just as bad as trying to find something on Amazon. It's almost like being back in the early 2000s, but in a bad way.
- (2024-09-23) Kai of the lord: it has seem to work like it expected but it should also remove previse watched overall it seems to block all of the useless videos which will help me to find more microbiology videos overall i gived it 3 out of 5 stars ill give it 5 stars when the devs update to remove previse watched out of 10 i will gived it 7.5 out of 10

When I click on short, and click back, I will get to loop and shorts are still displayed both on home page and in search results, even trough I checked option to hide them. I reinstalled extension multiple times and issue still persists.

Could not recommend this extension more highly. It also hides the Youtube Shorts panel as an added bonus. Thank you so much!

It's great to see someone take the initiative to make the website a bit more user-friendly again. Note: you have to enable the feature to block Shorts and Live Streams in the extension settings for them to work.
