This browser extension brings a seamless integration of the Strava Global Heatmap into the OpenStreetMap and Rapid iD editor, enhancing your mapping capabilities.
With this extension, you gain automatic access to all Strava activities as Heatmap overlays, eliminating the need for manual URL handling.
=== Instructions ===
1. Add this extension to Chrome
2. Open the iD editor: https://www.openstreetmap.org/edit?editor=id
3. Press B or click Background Settings, then scroll to the Overlays section.
4. Select Strava Heatmap All for all activity types, or choose a specific layer: Ride, Run, Water, or Winter.
5. Click the extension icon to log in to Strava and enable the heatmap. Don’t have an account? Sign up here: https://www.strava.com/
6. Use `Shift+Q` to toggle overlay visibility, and `Shift+W` to toggle data visibility.

- (2023-11-09) Simon Hrovatin: Very useful plugin when editing paths in OSM. Important thing to point out is that you should first visit https://www.strava.com/heatmap and login there, then you can continue editing in OSM. This way the heatmap will be more detailed, otherwise it's blurred. I know this is already mentioned in the description on main page but I want to really emphasize this.

- (2023-11-01) Ivars Brencis (ivss_xx): I used to use the other extension but with that you had to readd the layer all the time, and it wasn't an overlay. This takes it to the next level with being an actual overlay. Recommend!
- (2023-09-23) 2h: Makes using Strava in OSM much easier as you no longer have to add the custom layer URL, and you can use it as an overlay on top of any of the base imagery.
