Record Comparator is an extension designed to assist Salesforce users in identifying the distinctiveness of records by comparing field values.
1. Navigate to the record page of the desired object.
If there are multiple records for the same object and you need to differentiate between them, go to the pinned extension on the page.
Click on the "Source" button in the pinned extension. This will indicate that you want to select this particular record as the source for comparison.
Next, go to another record page for a different record of the same object.
If you need to differentiate between the records on this page as well, select the "Target" button in the pinned extension for this record.
Once you have selected the source and target records, click on the "Compare" button.
It is also possible to select source and target records from different orgs if needed.
2. Reviewing the Comparison Results:
If a field is missing from the target, the field row will be colored as green.
If a field is missing from the source, the field row will be colored as pink.
If fields have different values, those fields row will be colored as yellow.
If fields have similar values, the fields row will be colored as white.
3. Features:
This tool can compare same org records and different org records.
This tool requires the cache access.
Highlights data with difference colors based on the result criteria.
Also generates excel file of compared result.
