• (2025-07-11) hardik bhatt: Seems to be not working as advertised sometimes. it fast forwards ads instead of waiting for skip button to enable and then sits on skip button for some time. youtube does not like this extension and is still flagging my account while i wait for some time anyway!

• (2025-06-05) Marc Zan Kjrestivn: As of June, 6th, 2025, my YouTube tab begin to detect that tout-shielder starting with the letter "U" and it no longer works on that browser starting with the letter "B", nor with its in-built Shield. So far, this plug-in is great, I must say! It has a feature to automatically refresh the page if it is detected. If you're seeking for other ways to skip touts, give this a shot! So far the experience is good. Hope I can get developer team's Discord (if they ever have) to discuss further and bug-report (if I ever encounter).
• (2025-06-04) Ryan R: misleading. it says it skips ads "across the web". but it has only one "supported platform", which is youtube, and it doesnt work on youtube.

• (2024-12-19) Clay Tucker: As of 12/19/2024 works perfectly fine. Instantaneously fast forwards to the skip button prompt or just outright skips the entire ad. But even more than that, youtube doesn't stop me from watching videos due to having an adblocker, now.
• (2024-12-14) Mark Magill: Ad Skipper effectively stops YouTube Ads from playing and automatically skips it for you. Pros: It Works. Cons: From my personal experience, Ad Skipper would pause the ad from playing...but causes a noticeably slight hesitation before the actual YouTube video content begins playing. Not a deal breaker. Conclusion: I'm gonna buy this developer some coffee. I highly recommend Ad Skipper!

• (2024-09-06) Michael Ardai: Looks like Youtube is ahead in the cat-and-mouse game. Tonight I get an endless loop of reloading "You are running an ad blocker" screens. I am sure this will be fixed soon. Update: This has been fixed and is working fine now.

• (2024-08-20) pudoo patel: hey man nice work but i noticed a bug while running it in opera, When i am playing a youtube playlist, it keeps skipping the videos as ad appears. whenever ads appear it reloads as intended but it moves to next video which also does not run and skips to the next video.

• (2024-08-18) Logan Patenaude: Extension is dusted now. YouTube found a way to just keep recycling the "keep ads" message pretending it's gonna block the ad but you're just stuck in an endless loop of infinite clicking until it skips by luck. On to the next solution... ;/

• (2024-07-23) Ruxie Cat: This extension completely screws up youtube videos. If embedded on other sites, videos have a black screen. And on youtube itself the audio plays before the video even starts and continues to play even after I pause a video.
• (2024-07-17) Adam Salahudin: (original review made on 3/31/2024, updated on 7/17/2024) It IS working again, but there's some notable issues. Videos will occasionally play double audio (the video plays behind itself and cannot be paused, forcing you to reload the page, sometimes even multiple times to fix the bug) You can't interact with timestamps, there's no Ambient mode, you can't scroll down to view comments in Fullscreen. Overall, makes YouTube run slower, and occasionally does a full reset thing on my Chrome browser that causes all of my Tabs to break until I close and re-open Chrome. Don't think it's worth all of the downsides anymore, I'll keep it installed but I'm turning it off for now.
