Search YouTube videos like a pdf
Peek is a ‘Ctrl + F’ like search but for YouTube. It Highlights the video timeline where the searched phrase was spoken. Hover over the timeline to peek at the sentence it was spoken in, giving you better context so you can easily skip to the exact part you're interested in, hassle-free!
How to use:
- Open a YouTube video that contains captions.
- Enable captions by clicking on the “CC” icon, or by simply pressing the c key on your keyboard.
- Click the extension icon and type to search.
- The YouTube timeline will be highlighted with all instances where your search matches. Hover over the highlighted portion to peek at the sentence it was spoken in.
- Click to seek to that part of the video
Features:
- Shows the number of found instances in yellow below the search bar.
- Highlights the progress bar in a turquoise color at places where the searched phrase has been spoken.
- Hovering over the highlight shows the context around that phrase, along with the time stamp of where exactly it occurs in the video.
