De donkere modus-extensie maakt de nachtmodus op bijna alle websites mogelijk en geeft u de mogelijkheid om de ingebouwde donkere thema's te bedienen op degenen die deze hebben.
Als de website een ingebouwd nachtthema heeft, kunt u deze rechtstreeks vanuit de extensie bedienen en als dat niet het geval is (zoals Gmail, Google Docs, Office Online, Github en miljoenen anderen), zullen we de kleuren converteren om u een soepele overgang te bieden op donkere modus.
Er is ook een whitelist-functie waarmee u een gewenst domein uit de modus kunt uitsluiten. Voeg eenvoudig een domein(en) toe aan het aangewezen gebied (gescheiden door komma's) op de optiepagina en de websites worden uitgesloten.

Activeer de Night Shift-modus om het gebruikelijke licht van het scherm om te zetten in een warmere toon, zodat uw ogen niet worden beschadigd. U kunt de tool met één klik in- en uitschakelen wanneer u hem nodig heeft.

Migraine is simply incompatible with bright white web pages, and most usual color inverters don't help, as the result is too high contrast and is still painful to read. This extension allows for contrast finetuning and is awesome.

- (2023-11-13) SITAM4: Would be 5 stars, but have had issues with high cpu usage. Googled the issue, and it said it may be caused by an extension. As soon as I disabled this one, everything was fine. This has been one of my favorite extensions for the longest time. Like 2 years now. I suffer from frequent migraines, due to light, and can't handle bright white web pages. This extension has been a lifesaver. I don't know if there will be anymore updates in the future, but I hope that this is something that is addressed. I would love to be able to re-enable the extension.

I was messing around with Dark Reader for about five minutes in Firefox. It blew my mind. What a beautiful extension. The design of the UI is outstanding. The elegant, yet granular, level of control plus nicely implemented Dev Tools gives other extension developers a high bar. This is the fastest that I've ever awarded a 5-star rating and review! Just a sweet little app.

After installing I just randomly hit on the perfect sepia blend and I have been loving it since!!! (Dark mode, Brightness -30, Contrast -10, Sepia +65, Greyscale off, Dynamic theme generation.) Makes everything look so classy and readable. I am so light sensitive, but this not only makes my hours of screen time tolerable, it makes it beautiful! Please don't ever leave me.

- (2023-10-30) Sabrina Alves Brito: Great, but would be nice to have easier control over individual elements of a page. For instance using 'trac' the red boxes get inverted to a pea green color in Dynamic mode that is horrible to look at when leaving them red would be fine.
