But when I close the popup and click on the extension again, it doesn't accept click event. • (2024-08-29) Marc Vigod: Installed it hoping it would summarize pages or let me ask questions about them. Doesn't do that yet. It does say it will give a popup on google search. it does but every page it loads and says "Please reload the page, something went wrong" so that functionality right now is useless. all it is really is just an icon with a popup if you click it to get the You.com search. Hope they put more into it to at least get it on par with perplexity's chrome extension and also fix the google "something went wrong" problem. I did subscribe to their paid plan as I like they have all the biggest and latest AI models. For their main you.com webpage that is more like a 5/5 almost but the extension doesn't add much value yet - but it could if they fix the bugs and add features.

If URL says something else than the actual page, summary will be about that something else. I reported this already two months ago to them, but it's still the same. Useless and untrustworthy.

Page summary function on the context menu works too, but at least for now it can't read the actual page. The developers are active and You.com is otherwise quite awesome service. (Edited) (My original review couple weeks earlier: "Useless. It's just the chat, nothing else. And even that resets always when you click elsewhere. No "Instant page summaries" or anything what they promise on extension page.")
