Overview
Improve your personal productivity and save time all with this simple extension. eMemo+ allows you to add your bookmarks, notes, recipes and much more within a tool you already use. Your email!
eMemo+ is designed to be ‘Purposely Simple.’ Created by a Web Developer who, for over 10 years, used the very concept he built into eMemo+ to manage and access all sorts of notes all from his email.
And, because your email address can be accessed from any device, those notes are easily organized and accessible the same way on each device. Organized too? Yes!
Just a quick heads up, we use the terms notes, messages and emails interchangeably below.
What It Is
If you use an email service like Gmail by Google, or Outlook by Microsoft, you may be familiar with some of the email features possibly available; cloud storage, filters with labels/folders, search, and more.
Not all Email Services come with all the features mentioned, so please check with your Email Service Provider. eMemo+ can still be used in basic form with any email address, though.
Having your emails optionally filtered will allow you to organize your messages any way you like. Search provides easy retrieval to them at any time.
And, with email you can do other neat things like sharing them with one or multiple people, forwarding them to yourself with additional comments, and best of all, retrieve them from any device using the same email address!
So, what if all your Bookmarks, Notes, Memos and more were saved as emails? How convenient would that be? No more having to access your browser other apps to retrieve those items. No syncing or worrying about saving those particular items to the cloud as well. Your notes in one place, in something you already use your email!
eMemo+ simply works as a popup you use in Chrome, with one simple form. Add a subject line, a message and choose flags to highlight the kind of note you are sending. Copy your tab’s URL or Internet Address if you want to. Click Send, and done!
How It Works
After installing the Chrome Extension for eMemo+, you will sign up for a Free 3 Month Trial. The email you sign up with will be where all your notes or messages will be sent to.
In its simplest form, eMemo+ will send messages you enter via the form into its form to your Inbox. Now, you might at first get these messages in your Spam folder, so please check and ensure you have selected “Not Spam or Junk” for eMemo+ messages when asked or prompted.
But, in the above section, we mentioned flags.
Flags are little 3 character abbreviations that start with an underscore that get added to your message. Typically, words do not contain an underscore, which makes flags great for easy filtering in your email. And, if there is custom flag you would like to use, eMemo+ allows you to enter it with your messages as well.

With filtering in place, you can save certain messages to particular folders, so all your Recipes could be in one place. Your ToDos in another…. Just two examples of many possibilities.

- Cloud Storage – Services like Gmail and Outlook already save to Cloud Storage so your emails or notes are saved
- Search Capabilities - Services like Gmail and Outlook provide integrated search and if you add eMemo+’s flags within your search, like _rc for Recipe, searches may be even quicker!
- Less reliance on alternative Apps – your messages and notes are within your email, no need to access additional apps to read them!
- Notes are endless – just forward yourself the email with additional comments or attachments anytime you wish
- Forward your notes to others – just be sure to remove any flags before forwarding so replies don’t get filtered
- Labels/Folders – Gmail and Outlook already provide filters so messages get organized, like putting any recipes with the _rc flag into a Recipes folder (or label)
- Bookmarking – use eMemo+ for bookmarks, use the “Copy URL” feature to copy the visible tab’s address and add more notes than you would with a bookmark
- Access from Any Device – if your devices access the same email address used with eMemo+, then those messages are retrievable too!
- Try before Buy – 3 months with limited messaging to try eMemo+

- (2023-07-27) A. P.: This is going to sound biased, as I am familiar with the Developer and his concept here. I can just say it is a real time saver. The power is not in the form itself but in how takes advantage of your email's features. I can look up any notes or bookmarks I saved in any device I used and I don't have to open another app. I use Gmail and I love using it's search with this. I find my stuff quickly! Recommend.
