Synchronize Tab Scrolling
Description from store

---
Keeping two documents scrolled to the same spot usually means switching back and forth. This extension links your browser tabs so when you scroll in one, all connected tabs follow to the matching position instantly.
---

How It Works

1. Click the extension icon to open the tab selector
2. Search and select the tabs you want to sync
3. Click "Start Sync" — done

When multiple tabs share the same URL, a smart notification offers to sync them with a single click.

---

Key Features
• Real-time scroll synchronization across any number of tabs
• Command palette with search — find tabs by title or URL, filter by domain
• Manual position adjustment — hold Option (Mac) or Alt (Windows) to fine-tune individual tab alignment
• Smart auto-sync suggestions when duplicate URLs are detected
• URL navigation sync — click a link in one tab and all linked tabs follow
• Domain exclusion — permanently block suggestions for specific sites
• Auto-reconnection after sleep or interruption, no manual action needed
• Full keyboard shortcuts for every action

---

Who Is This For?
• Translators comparing original and translated text
• Developers reviewing code changes across versions or files
• Researchers reading multiple papers side by side
• Students comparing lecture notes with reference material
• Anyone working with two or more documents at once

---

Pages Where Sync Is Not Available
Due to browser security restrictions, scroll sync does not work on certain pages:
• Google services (Docs, Drive, Gmail, Sheets, Slides)
• Web apps such as Figma, JIRA, Notion, and Microsoft Office Online
• Browser internal pages (chrome://, edge://, about:)
• Extension stores and search engine result pages
• PDF files and viewers
• Login and authentication pages
• Special URLs (file://, view-source:, data:)

Restricted tabs appear disabled in the selection list with a tooltip explaining the limitation.

---

Privacy
• No data collection — zero analytics, tracking, or cookies
• Works entirely offline with no network requests

I split 2 tabs in chrome, addon connects to them - scroll is far from synchronized, from the very beginning the synchronization is lost / one page is delayed with another, the more scroll the more delay

Can be used for more than two tabs, I'd love to be able to click links too.

Used this extension a handful of times and it worked great! However as of recent it hasn't been working properly on any website. If there are some error logs or other info I can get to the developer I would love to figure out what's wrong.

Thanks for creating this! It would be awesome if you could add an offset to the scrolling. I stumble on this extension looking for one that would allow me to see the same web page but at different positions. In my case is because I read very long pages with code and when I have to scroll to see what is above I loose focus wasting a very wide screen. Still, what this extension promises have been delivered beautifully
