The extension is a very simple parental control mechanism. It blocks all requests to websites not whitelisted in the extension. The list of allowed URLs is hardcoded and consists of the following rules:
1. *prodigygame.com/*
2. *.det.wa.edu.au/*
3. *netflix.com/*
4. *youtubekids.com/*
5. *disneyplus.com/*
6. *outlook.com/*
7. *office365.com/*
8. *microsoftonline.com/*
9. *studyladder.com.au/*
It is possible to force installation of the extension for a specific user on your computer. In this mode, kids are no longer able to disable or uninstall the extension and parents, the other accounts on your computer, are not affected by the extension. Please, google "ExtensionInstallForcelist" for more info. Make sure Chrome is the only web browser on your device and your kids are not using local accounts with admin rights, you don't want them to install additional web browsers :). It is still possible to get additional web browser via USB/CD drive, this can also be disabled but it is another story...
