  • (2023-08-20) Vaidyanathan Ramalingam: • Tagging re-imagined with powerful yet in-line text, where comments as a use case - impact: silo to collaboration as tag connects the dots to other side party, drill down later or see the history for the last commenting user • It is object centric as the cursor can be placed anywhere in the text (on browser page) and add tag and include comment to initiate the conversation (in X it is a post based, where us here it is anywhere in web page). • When the user initiatives comments, while tagging with “@” it displays all the users, which means it is linked in licensed users or HRIS when integrated with HR tools • I could instantly install the plug-in and that’s how given any web app these in-line embedded tagging I could work • On a Gartner’s (analyst) point of view this I guess falls under Workspace as a domain, meaning a huge and massive addressable market size that could complement with internet giants like Microsoft (office 365), Google (google workspace), Zoho (one Zoho) and Social media etc • As an additional use case, the sub groups is an added advantage to restrict the users, just like other groups concepts in Skype, Slack and Whatsapp/Telegram etc • The other traditional comments features/products that I am familiar is with Microsoft Word to track changes, that is silo way of working and not a collaborative use case, which is a major value from Whatfix • As a surprise it is integrated with email, I saw in adv. where the password is triggered! – Amazing • Unlike Slack, Skype the Whatfix is plug-in based and does not require any separate installation. • All I found here is that it extends the information on web and enables further collaboration that is in-line which is element/object wise placed (to get the context). • Proud of Whatfix team, happy to recommend to my corporate clients and my OKR Stars team as well!
