• (2020-01-10) Nikhil Gupta: I've tried substital and many others, They work great on certain sites such as netflix and youtube, but not so on most other lesser known sites. Those didn't work great When I uploaded the subtitles by myself. Also the syncing of the subtitle didn't always worked. This is where this extension shines. Yes, it takes some efforts to find and download the subtitles files, but once you have it, this is the best extension to get subtitle working. I agree that interface could have been better, but anyways it does the work. Thanks.

• (2016-09-11) Leo Caseiro: So far the best way to add subtitles for any html5 player. It works on Netflix, Youtube and many others. Also the shortcuts G and H make's easier to re-sync some subtitles. The fix for encoding helps with Portuguese for 8859-1 files.

  I absolutely love this extension, it has been so helpful but it stops working w a few videos sometimes. Idk why. Could there be an update that makes it run with every video on chrome?
