This extension brings a PiP view to all websites with an HTML video element. Press the extension icon to open the active player in the picture in picture mode. This extension automatically tries to use the active player.
Now stream movies, series or sports on any tab. Install Picture in Picture chrome extension to enable the floating video. We support this feature on every streaming site.
For YouTube, the extension also offers an in-player button next to the settings button to open the YouTube video in the picture-in-picture mode. You can use this extension to watch YouTube videos in a floating window that is on top of all other windows so tabs can be switched and still the player is visible.

What is extension Picture in Picture?
Floating video brings a PiP view to all websites with an HTML video element. The extension adds a page action button to your browser. When a page has a video element, the color of this button changes. Press the button to open the active player in the Picture-in-Picture mode (PiP Mode).

How do I play a video in a floating window?
Open the YouTube video on the mini player in floating image-in-picture (PIP) mode. Supports video players This window will play videos on all pages of the browser.

- Features rewind/fast forward buttons, a progress bar, subtitles, a volume slider, and a next video button which is definitely more than the official chrome PiP. However, the scroll bars, random white space, and the bar showing the website are annoying and hard to ignore. Resizing is also annoying to do because it doesn't default to the size of the video. I might use this extension for studying or coding, but I likely won't use it most of the time.

- it works pretty well, has features like skip forward, skip backward, volume control, resizing, play/pause, and subtitles. However, I've noticed that the subtitle sometimes float too high, even appearing in the middle of the screen, especially after you resizing and moving the window.

- Not a true PIP, its a pop out window with controls at the bottom. So you always have the Task bar at the top of the pop out video. Resizing that window is also bad, as it does not keep the aspect ratio and you're left with white bars on any side. Though there is a button to quickly adjust the window size to the correct aspect ratio and thus eliminating the white bars.

- finally, an extension that allows me to use playback controls for YouTube. I hate having to jump between tabs or pull up media controls, and this offers everything, PiP AND playback controls. The borders annoyed me at first, but I am just grateful I finally found a solution, so I can't complain. Thank you!

- Works good! Please give us an option to get rid of the awful title bar. Also, in several videos a white border appears at the bottom of the PIP. If you can't remove it at least make it dark.

- It's the only one that allows to scroll on Youtube I have found. Also it allows to crop the view by half which is useful if the only information you need is on the first half of the video (vid. author's editor program, etc). 10 / 10 would reccommend.

- The only real feedback I have is give us an option to select the dimensions of the pop up on first launch. Wasteful hassle of increasing the size by manually dragging. Also! An option to automatically activate the extension when the tab is switched would be great. Hands down the best PiP extension, I just wish it was just a tad bit customizable.

- Keeps asking me to "reload this page to apply my updated settings on this site" (and if I don't reload, it just won't let me use the extension), even though I haven't updated any settings on either the extension or Youtube since download. Super frustrating, especially because this would be my favorite PiP extension otherwise. Now I'll have to find a different one :C

- Loving the extension! though, I have a few critiques if that's okay. I think it should auto-remove borders when resizing the player. The top bar (where it says the website, shows the option to close the window, and there's a button to go back to the tab) should be changed to being integrated or overlayed onto the PiP window, I think the website URL is unnecessary, and the "back to tab" and the "close" buttons should be on top of the video preview. I also think the seek bar is also unnecessary. A play button, +10 and -10 would be enough, you could also include the sound control but personally I think keeping more than that is a little redundant for a small player. Those are my suggestions, I'm not a developer so I have no idea whether or not all of those are feasible, I apologize if they're not. Feel free to include everything or nothing based on what you consider right. Thank you for the extension!
