- (2025-06-03) Zachary Yaro: I appreciate how simple it is—does everything it needs to without any unnecessary fluff. My only annoyance is it reverts every event to the calendar's default color, while other GCal custom color extensions leave the previously selected color as a fallback you can see on the mobile app.
- (2025-05-31) Kaila Elaine Nork: Unfortunately the custom colors are not syncing to the app on iPhone. Bummer.
- (2025-04-08) Emma Celestin: This works great. Took a second for the colors to show up, but it worked! Love it.
- (2025-01-13) Katelyn Smith: Hi! I am excited about this extension, but I cannot figure out why it's not working for me. I downloaded it, added my colors, but they are not showing up on my events. What am I doing wrong?
- (2024-11-16) Kris E: Love it in the PC format, but the colors don't work on the Calendar app on the pixel, so it is useless for me now. I spend half my time on the calendar app on the phone.
- (2024-11-16) Samantha Patterson: I love being able to set my own colors, but this extension is making my calendar load incredibly slow.
- (2024-11-07) Jam: Works really well for me, very easy to use, thank you ! Will update if there is any bugs!
- (2024-11-02) Marija Nedelkovska: It is a nice concept, but even thought i select the option to save changes for "All events", it does not work and i have to manually change the color of every single event in my calendar even if it is a repeating one, and that is a lot of work i do not want to do... And also it does not sync to phone, so i just did all that for nothing.
- (2024-10-30) Charna Ambers: Hi, this is great! Exactly what I was looking for. How do I get the new color to stay on a series of the same event? Thanks!
- (2024-10-27) Tomas: Works great on desktop
- (2024-09-19) zombified ninja: I tried it on my events but after a few hours it stopped working. It does show the colors are added but whenver I would pick my custom colors, it just goes back to the prepicked color by google.
- (2024-09-12) Victoria Rubschlager: How would I get colors to stay on events that repeat weekly? :)
- (2024-09-11) Katherine Lent: I do use Gcal some on my phone, but not the biggest deal that it does not show on mobile since I mainly use Gcal for detailed scheduling on my laptop. I do however, wish it did apply to all the events in the series. But I am so happy now to not have to 'share' colors with certain types of events as there is just not enough stock colors for all my event types and I don't want to make multiple calendars where you CAN add more colors. I am glad there are others out there that also wanted more colors!! Thanks for making it!! Oh! AND, you can even use your own hex ####! Awesome!!!
- (2024-08-24) Amy Piccolo: Pretty on the desktop app, but when I look at the calendar on my ipad the colors, they don't transfer. Spent a lot of time updating the colors on my calendar just to realize it did nothing across the app! Sad! Also the reason it took so long to update the calendar in the first place is because it won't apply to event series! Again, it's pretty on the desktop but definitely would be better with a few updates.
- (2024-06-01) Carolina Salt: Works awesome on the Desktop. How do i get it to show up on my mobile when looking at google calendar there?
- (2024-05-10) Samantha Kendrick: Extension works great as a concept and I was able to change the colors of my events to something custom. However, I cannot use it anymore as it slows down my calendar on doing even basic tasks.
- (2024-04-15) Ghais: 5 stars cuz you're adding a basic feature Google failed to add. But it is not functional when it comes to changing the event colors. Seems like Google is going apeshit with the updates and keeps breaking your code to implement their awful "new modern look". Pls patch quick. <3 Update 17/03/2024: Just tried it again and it works as expected now. Although I wish the color of the text could be changed manually or automatically to contrast the background color cuz it's hard to read with pastel colors. Update 15/04/2024: Been using this for a while and all bright colors are practically useless because there is no dark font option. Lowering my rating to 2 stars until this major inconvenience is fixed.
- (2024-03-20) Ally: This is a great extension with a lot of potential. However, I really wish colors would stay assigned in repeated event series. As is, it is almost too time consuming changing all event colors manually to make using the extension worth it.
- (2024-03-17) Ryan Lo: Hello! For some reason, after I pick a color in the Hue tab on the top right corner of my screen, I am not able to change any colors of my calendar. How exactly do I work this? Thank you for your time, Ryan
- (2024-03-13) Adrianna Monzon-Osorio: How do I make the colors stay for repeated events? It only works for one event and then manually makes me change the colors for the rest of them
- (2024-03-13) Brittany Johnson: Update: The current hack (editing specific events' colors from calendar view) works great while we wait for the extension to be updated after the Chrome update. I'm SO happy to be able to customize specific colors for my events as I'm currently plotting out my gardening season on my calendar and it really helps me as a visual person to be able to put the colors of the plants I'm managing on the calendar with their specific chores. Original review: I'm putting 3 for now so I don't affect the overall rating, but I just installed the extension today (should be the newest version 1.0.3) and I can't get the colors in my palette to populate in my color choices in the event. If I can get some insight into fixing that, I'll adjust my rating once it works!
- (2024-03-01) Liam Rhodes: doesn't change event colors
- (2024-02-27) Rajashree Venkatraman: the added colors show up in the list but the event colors dont change when a select my desired color how do i fix this?
- (2024-02-27) Lillie Quinney: mine won't come up with my colour options on calendar after adding them to the palette, how do I fix?
- (2024-02-22) Dawn Grobe: Simple to create a palate and the colors show up when you control click the event, but doesn't change the event color.
- (2024-02-17) Jordan Gilbert: I agree with the last review that clicking colors won't change the event color.
- (2024-02-05) Jackie Hu: Hi, it seems like there's another chrome update, and clicking the color doesn't change the color of the calendar event.
- (2024-02-01) Brandon Hui: google calendar colors kinda sucks. Extension helps a lot and adds variety to this **** world!
- (2024-01-30) Alex Pena: Same thing that happens to @Jean Luy, happens to me. Nothing happens when selecting color in the calendar. (as opposed to selecting a standard color. 3 stars just for trying to fix one more thing google should have already done.
- (2024-01-30) Jean Luy: Good idea but it doesn't seem to work. Right clicking on an event and picking a custom color doesn't do anything. Therefore, no way to apply the custom colors.
- (2024-01-03) Samuel Lu: Holy moly what an amazing extension. The pure aesthetic given by this is enough for me to want to jump off a building(due to happiness). 100/10 would recommend to my favorite people
- (2023-12-25) Trevor L: This extension is pretty good!
- (2023-11-13) Catherine Huang: amazing
