When it became inoperable for a couple of days (14-15 August 2025) I felt the need to consider a different browser; that is how much this add-on means to me. Now that it's working again, though the feature no longer extends to each browser page. I am overly joyed with its return.

• (2025-07-26) Brandon Schuster: I've been using this app for a while now. It really should have a broader name because it works well on nearly ALL websites not just Docs. It's made me very happy. Some other users have some valid suggestions. But none make the app negative to take away stars. They would make a great app fantastic though!

• (2025-07-21) Jesse Fristik: Dark Mode Google Docs is an absolute MUST HAVE if you write with Google Docs and have prefer a dark background to a white background for writing. I won't use Google Docs without it, and many web pages that don't offer a dark theme I usually don't participate with. Thankful for this extension, it has saved my eyeballs from mucho pain.

• (2025-07-06) Bloody Because Yes: I love it for when using google docs, and it works decently. And I like that I can adjust the warmth and brightness. However it inverts the images, which is unhelpful as an artist. It also gets rid of the colors when creating a custom color in google docs. it inverts pop up windows in other google sites (like sheets and slides) so when picking a slide theme, it inverted, and made it difficult to choose. it also makes it when i present the slides, all it shows is the dark screen. even if I turn it off or get rid of the extention, it still inverts and overlays black over these things. I really wish it would change this so I can use slide presentation and custom colors again.
• (2025-07-02) Michael Gaspar: I came here specifically to find a solution to older extensions interfering with spell check functionality in Docs. Spelling errors and grammar suggestions wouldn't visibly show up in Dark Mode. Made the switch to Dark Mode Google Docs and all set! Accessibility for navigation contrast is better than other extensions and fonts look crisper through the "filtered" screen view. Nice extension. Many thanks!

• (2025-06-14) Ryan Smith: Not a lot of functionality. It would be nice to choose which parts of the doc are dark. I still want the document page to be light. Sometimes it does this anyways, but it's clearly a glitch in the extension, as it will switch black to black when I click certain things on the page.

• (2025-06-01) Alex Overwater: This is exactly what I wanted for google docs. It does funky things to pictures in the file, but it is easily toggle-able with included hotkeys. When I need to show off or review the document for finalization I can turn it off instantly without having to close the doc or refreshing the page.

It IS the one I've been looking for. It can darken Amazon, CNN, and many other popular and extremely white sites. Important for the ASD crowd too.
