- (2025-02-24) Mordraug: Absolute BEHEMOTH of a tool. This is THE most essential tool for language learning ever made. If you're interested in second language acquisition, this tool, especially when used to its full potential with all the myriad of quirks and in combination with other tools that enable you to use it for every media format, not just web text, is such a massive game changer that it makes any previous language learning without it feel utterly bizarre and crazy. So anyway, it freaking SLAPS, get it right now:D Especially if you learn Japanese or Chinese. There are a lot of guides on how to utilise it to its full potential. Huge thanks to all the developers of Yomitan who keep the legacy of Yomichan alive. You all are LEGENDS!:)

- (2024-11-25) Dan Phan: Very good extention for language learning. I created a number of dictionaries for Yomitan https://catusf.github.io here if anyone need (mostly for Vietnamese audience, but also some for English speakers as well). By the way, can you change this to be more inclusive: "Japanese dictionary with Anki integration". Maybe to: "Dictionary extention for world languages with Anki integration"?

For those of you who are switching from Yomichan, there is a way to transfer your entire dictionary collection directly into yomitan, without having to import them all separately! Here's the link to the github page for instructions: https://github.com/themoeway/yomichan-data-exporter#steps-to-export-the-data
- (2024-03-25) Private Rice: Really good extension for anybody trying to learn Japanese. It's a little hard to set up but it's still really good. One thing I wish that they'd add is Forvo audio to the audio playback sources for more word pronunciations. (Maybe they can't for legal reasons or something, totally understandable. Plus the amount of words they do have is humongous.) 10/10
- (2024-03-07) Alexander Medvedovski: Best app for Japanese
- (2024-03-05) Rahil Shaban: I have used yomichan for years and it has helped me in my Japanese learning so much! I am glad that it is still being continued as Yomitan. Thank you to whoever worked on Yomichan and Yomitan to provide such an useful extension.
- (2024-03-03) Chiara Coetzee: Yomichan was my most indispensable learning tool for Japanese reading before it was sunsetted. It let me work my way through lyrics on YouTube and Spotify, NHK News Easy, books, games, manga, pretty much anything that I can get into my web browser in a textual form. I love how it lets me look up just the words I don't recognize, on-demand, while letting me tackle the more familiar ones on my own. And this fork is a faithful new edition of it. I'm grateful that the maintainers of Yomitan are taking the time to keep this project alive. As a heavy WaniKani user I also use the WaniKani dictionary to check if a word is one that I've already learned earlier or if it's one I'm going to learn in the future, or if it's one that's not on WaniKani at all, and I find that really valuable to synchronize my reading practice and kanji practice. If I had to pick only one Japanese tool in the world to use it'd be this one, don't miss out on it.

- (2024-02-11) Ayan Shashwat: Glad Yomichan is back in the form of Yomitan, couldn't live without it! I feel like the pop up is sliightly laggy than before though, although scan delay is 0 milliseconds. Still kudos to the devs, amazing extension.
