It nearly retains the whole quality of the song (just make sure to set the mp3 converter to 320 kbps) With lower conversion settings the converted file will usually sound dark and miss a lot of the top end because of the converters algorithm, it's definitely not a desirable sound if you want to listen to music as close to the original file that was produced. Of course that's where buying tracks comes in. Make sure you're only downloading free tracks alright! (e.g. NoCopyrightSounds)
