Description from store Effortlessly switch between languages and type in your preferred script with just a click. The Swalekh Web Extension offers Phonetic typing experience for through transliteration for 11 India Language scripts i.e. Odia, Hindi, Bengali(Bangla),Marathi, Malayalam, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Punjabi, Urdu, Gujarati, Assamese How to Use:Getting Started After installing the extension, click on the Swalekh icon in your browser toolbar. Select "Extension Options" from the menu. A new tab will open, allowing you to configure your preferred languages and input methods. Add your preferred tools to the "Selected Input Tools" list for quick access. You can revisit this page anytime to modify your preferences. Typing in Your Language Click the Swalekh icon and select the desired input tool from the menu. Start typing in the pop up text box of the extension. To disable an input tool, click the Swalekh icon and select the "Turn Off" option. Using Transliteration Type words phonetically in English, and Swalekh will render them in the chosen language’s script. Note that transliteration converts sounds, not meanings. For example: Typing n-a-m-a-s-t-e will suggest Hindi words sounding like "namaste." Press SPACE to select the top suggestion: नमस्ते. Switch back to typing in English or any other language as easily as you switched in!   • (2023-12-21) Anurag Zubin: Awesome tool. Now I don't need to switch between tabs to type in Indian Languages. Earlier I used to type the Indian Language texts mostly in Hindi and Odia in one of the free typing websites, switch tabs to the tab where I needed the text to be used. With this extension that problem is solved. Just type the text, copy and paste it.
