  • (2023-10-10) H A N S: Perfect… absolutely perfect. now you can maximize the massive empty space by hanging an in-sync 200% website. Now, I need a way to add more splits, can I still have way more space than just 200% length.

  • (2020-08-19) Andreas Langenhagen: displays 2 columns nicely but as soon as I change the page-zoom, it scrolls slowly and steadiltyupwards. I consider dumping the extension.
  • (2020-02-26) kh Jung: Great potential Thank you for your wonderful app. I found it very useful. While using it, I was wondering if I may ask you the following three questions. 1. It seems the screen scrolls automatically. How can I turn off this feature? 2. When I use "double read" extension, the website does not respond when I press page-down button. How can I make it work? 3. I was wondering if I could make more than two columns (e.g. up to five or six). Can I make this happen? Could you tell me what tools you have used make this extension and if it is not too complicated, teach me how I can make the above features happen? Sincerely, khj
Gracias.
  • (2018-12-12) Peter Bacon: Right now Double Read is the only extension that (somewhat successfully) attempts to create 2 independent pages, no matter the site. I would love to see more progress with this extension. For example on reddit, there is a conflict between Reddit Enhancement Suite and this extension. The extension overrides any visual styles, coming from RES or Dark Reader.. Getting that fixed would be great. It would also be nice to have added functionality with something like a site list/white list which you can have it automatically load, or choose between 2 & 3 columns. Infinite possibilities! Please keep working on this awesome extension Andres!!

  • (2015-12-12) Ron: Wonderful extension.
  • (2014-04-07) Olivier M: It takes some practice but once you get used to it its great. You wonder why most websites are using half of the real estate

  • (2023-10-28, v:1.6) Asaph Cheng Yao: Please fix broken right column
The top half of the right column is chopped off. I can't scroll to the upper half. Awesome extension if it can be fixed, otherwise this extension is useless.
  • (2022-01-19, v:1.6) N D (Oakie): So close!
This was just the extension I was looking for: a way to flow webpages into two columns to take advantage of the 16:9 ratio of screens; to mimimise wasted white space and get more actual content on the page. It doesn't quite work though. It scrolls slowly back up to the top of page by itself. Two-finger drag on the touchpad does not scroll. Scrolling by dragging on the scrollbars, doesn't work - the webpage stays where it is but flickers/jumps around a bit. The usual ability to press spacebar to pagedown is gone too. Pagedown works once, and then the page starts scrolling upwards again. Do you think you'll have time to fix this, or do you think these are insurmountable technical issues? Hope you can fix as this just what I looking for!
  • (2020-07-23, v:1.6) Peter Bacon: Extension still scrolls automatically..
Will this extension ever see an update so pages don't automatically scroll down?
