  • (2025-05-29) Ben Hu: This is a really great extension. My question is how do you pin it on the right by default? Everytime I open it, it opens on the left.
  • (2025-05-22) Riccardo Cavasin: This extension effectively disables CSP enforcing on websites. Why is that?
  • (2025-05-21) Nathanael Richard II: So close to perfect! Very useful to open Messages in the Side panel, so that it does not take up a whole window, but I can monitor it. Note that Google pages that require sign ins seem to have issues opening, very useful tool, and grateful that it is shared for free!
  • (2025-05-21) Bayu Eka Prasetyo: Amazing, thank you
  • (2025-05-12) Evereasy: I find it very useful as an AI assistant when browsing with Chrome. The setup is: Page Sidebar → local OpenWebUI (Docker) → local Ollama.
  • (2025-05-12) Alexandre Lengereau: Dear Stefan, I just wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank you for developing the Page Sidebar extension. It's a simple yet incredibly useful tool that has made my browsing experience much more efficient. Being able to open any page in the side panel is a game-changer for multitasking and reference work. I really appreciate the thought and effort you've put into creating this—keep up the great work! Best regards,
  • (2025-04-19) Diogo: very useful with a lot of functionalities, poggers.
  • (2025-04-15) Corey Burns: Nearly perfect - especially with the update just recently put out allowing auto refreshing and links opening in a new tab by default. This enables a lot of efficiency especially regarding queues of work in web based system. Keep up the good work on this one.
  • (2025-04-02) Bartolomeo: why this doesn't work with https://translate.google.com.br/
  • (2025-03-07) Alexander Anisimov: Great extension. When I open DeepL.com in it, cookies consent popup does not disappear when I press Accept. Can you please fix this?
  • (2025-02-15) Andre Cottrichelli: Many I install just out of curiosity. And most of them I get rid after a few minutes, after I've clicked and messed and seen what they do (or don't do). A handful or two make it to a 'test phase', while I decide if they're ever reallly gonna be of any use. Of these, most last a couple of hours, some maybe even a full day. There are some rare ones that pass the test and get to stay installed, but even these, ineviatably, one day get removed, re-installed, removed, re-installed -- either because I only needed them for one specific task or because they're intrusive and started annoying me. Of the 100s, this is the only extension that, once installed, has never been removed. It doesn't cure cancer or know next week's winning lottery numbers, but I still give it six out of six.
  • (2025-01-14) Malaya Linux (MyLinukhs): It would be nice if this extension can open local file or viewing html from visual studio code live server.
  • (2025-01-05) Ronald Wilhelm: Amazing plugin but something with the cookies seems to be wrong. I am in the European Union and each time I load a website (for example Perplexity, Claude, ChatGPT etc.) I get this annoying cookie banner where I allow all cookies but when I reload it pops up again. This is especially weird as I am logged in to the sites and I remain logged in.. Could you please check if you can fix something about the cookies? I tried other Sidebar plugins (which I didn't like as much) where this issue doesn't exist. I happily adjust my rating to 5 stars after that is fixed. Thank you and appreciate.
  • (2024-12-16) Kevin Wehner: Changing my original review to 5 stars. I reported a couple bugs to the dev. that were fixed within a few days and he even notified me that they were fixed! Excellent support and a very useful extension! This extension has a lot of potential, but I can't get the back/forward navigation buttons to work. Nothing happens when I click them. Uninstalling for now, but will check back.
  • (2024-11-28) Ylli Christopher Aduana: Hey! Love the extension, but i just have 1 request, can you PLEASEEEE make an option for it to be dark, thanks!
  • (2024-09-19) T U: I can not drag a new link to the sidebar if there has opened a webpage. (surely I can drag a link to the navigation bar then open the new page) but it will be good to open the new link when drag a link on to the exsited webpage.
  • (2024-08-25) Aylex: there a problem in my side panel i cant use insta if i put it on and it just says no internet.
  • (2024-08-23) Marc Spiro: Great idea... but no website I try load actually opens? The home button does not take you anywhere , search does not yeild any results. cant open google calendar in the side panel cant open web.whatsapp in the sidepanel?
  • (2024-08-01) Ronald Wilhelm: 5 Star amazing plugin! I spent 4 hours checking all sidebar extensions and this one is the best. No "let me guess what websites you would like to have integrated but you cannot add anything custom yourself!". I would LOVE if this tool gets continuous active development and more features and I would also happily pay for it. One of my wishes would be to lock tabs in (or make it more difficult to accidentally delete them as I want to pin basically always the same few websites. There is this (abandoned) extension called "Switch Workstation Tab Manager" which maybe you can get some inspiration of for future development. I would love if there would be a tiny sidebar just with the icons of my most used chatbots / search websites etc. for fastest access. Also I would love to be able to put other extensions or chrome sites in like chrome://history Thank you!!
  • (2024-07-22) Chance Li: Every time when I open the siderbar, I have to close the banner at the bottom which says "New! Discover all my free browser extensions". This is kind of annoying.
  • (2024-07-18) Tina Chang: This product is convenient for note-taking and multitasking, boosting work efficiency. As someone who often needs to search for information and take notes, I am thrilled to have found this product! Furthermore, the creators are very willing to listen to suggestions and meet users' needs. They respond immediately on the same day and quickly adjust the interface after receiving suggestions, which is incredibly impressive
  • (2024-07-12) Manuel H.: It doesn't allow for any search engine or even the browser's default search engine. It just allows the ones listed in the extension, which is a disappointment. I wanted to use it to pin my webmail (Fastmail) into a sidebar, but when the website tries to load inside the sidebar, it says "the website refused connection". It has a bookmark view, but I think the bookmark view looks bad. Otherwise, it works well enough.
  • (2024-06-28) Cresha: This might be the perfect extension for multi-tasking. Saves more time from changing tabs. Does its purpose well. Thank you!
  • (2024-06-14) Zeyad Eldeeb: Just amazing, very simple and lightweight yet I found every feature I want whenever it comes accross my mind.
  • (2024-06-13) H4NS3: Basically split screen on any chromium browser. Loved the feature on Vivaldi and Edge.
  • (2024-05-22) xd lee: It is very easy to use. But I have a problem here. When I set Quick Bookmarks as "Show the button to open your selected bookmark in the sidebar", it seems not to take effect. Also, I cannot open google.com, and the console reports an error: "Refused to display 'https://www.google.com/' in a frame because it set 'X-Frame-Options' to 'ameorigin'".
  • (2024-05-18) PQ Nguyen: 05/17/24 - updating my review to 5 gold stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 because WOW! Stefan - you are a rockstar!! ✨🎸👏🏼 Thanks so much for listening and adding in the zoom option! AMAZING! Thank you! 05/08/24 - Overall this extension is great and I love the bookmarks feature. It’d be 100% perfect if there were zoom in/out options! Thanks!
  • (2024-05-16) Tom Gallione: Really useful, smart plugin and great support! Thanks Stefan!
  • (2024-05-12) michael liu: Wow, this extension is super helpful to me. It's makes accessing ChatGPT so quick and easy. Using other sidecar-type chrome extensions to access GPT is inconvenient, as they require me to sign up their system and they don't use the original ChatGPT service by OpenAI directly. Instead, they have their own GPT or access ChatGPT with OpenAI API by token with limited access, even if I already have an OpenAI account. Plus, their user interface is way too complicated, with tons of functions and buttoms. And no top of that, their usage costs are sky-high and require you to tweak a bunch of settings.
  • (2024-05-12) Chris McGimpsey-Jones: Could be useful, although the fact it doesn't integrate at all with my browser theme (for some reason) it makes it difficult to justify keeping it around.
  • (2024-05-09) Paulinho Prates: Great! I'm using it to have quick access to ChatGPT. One suggestion I'd like to make is to have an option to keep the page pre-loaded for a few minutes in the background, so when you open the sidebar again, it doesn't always have to reload.
  • (2024-04-27) Dan Nichols: Good but wish it saved the page at least for a few hours or the day, rather than refresh from scratch every single time I minimized and re-opened While using GPT I like to search and open/close, much like the copilot side bar in Edge
  • (2024-04-24) Billy Jin: Perfect
  • (2024-04-23) Yu. Dou: This extension is nearly perfect, but there is one feature missing. I wish that webpages opened in the sidebar would be saved after I close the sidebar. Every time I reopen the sidebar, I need to reopen the webpage, which is tedious.
  • (2024-04-07) Dheeraj Shetty: Works fine, only if there was a way to save the urls for easy access, right now have to copy every url, everytime
  • (2024-04-05) irha 1122: this is such a handy, useful extension!! thank you so much i really love this idea <3
  • (2024-04-02) Khal-El Smalls-Foster: this is so helpful for opening two sites at once😏
  • (2024-04-01) Jonathan Corkum: After trying at least 20 different sidebar extensions/work arounds I came across this. It is hands down the best extension for having a dual side view in Chrome similar to other browsers (FireFox, Vivaldi, Arc). I even asked Stefan if he could add a right click context menu option and he literally had it done the next day. I highly recommend this extension and some of his others.
  • (2024-03-20) Per Klasson 363TEGY: Great add-on. Does what Google's discontinued "Explore" in Google Docs, Spreadsheet and Presentation did. Search for information while working on a document. Copy and paste links as references. Search for images, which you can easily copy and paste, etc. Or use an AI tool like Gemini in the sidebar. (Extra credit to the developer for good and fast communication).
  • (2024-02-23) Luke K: Impressive! I used the Arc browser for a while and missed its split-screen option when I switched back to Chrome. This extension comes quite close to it. I tried a few other extensions before, but they opened new windows and used the native Mac split screen feature, which I found clunky compared to this one.
  • (2024-02-11) Heath “rolltidehero” B.: Could be 5-stars if they can fix it to where it doesn't hide when you click onto another page... basically, if it were more like Vivaldi's Web Panels. Also, I have to de-activate it and then re-activate just so that it will show up again. I also couldn't figure out how to save sites. I don't think it does. But it's still early in development, so if they get that fixed, then it will probably be one of my favorite extensions and a 5-star if it was also open-source ... Sadly, due to all of the malicious extensions, I am limiting myself to only using open-source extensions on sites like GitHub. Technically, they are all open-source... meaning that you could easily review the code. But then one day they sneak in a malicious update that you can't review until it is updated on your system. Let me know if you would like any help. Do you have a GitHub? I love the idea... It's one of the 3 major reasons that I use Vivaldi over all other browsers.. 1. Web Panels / 2. Tile Tabs into one single tab view / 3. Much more customizable
