Adds buttons into YouTube history page to clear/delete short rows

To use the extension first you have to go to the URL: https://www.youtube.com/feed/history
On this page the extension will add a button to rows of shorts that have been watched so that you can clear the items in the row all at once. It will simulate clicks from the user so may take a little while and you won't be able to use the page while it's doing it.
This may not clear all the items because sometimes the history page simply doesn't load them all, so you may need to use it a few times to get them cleared. If you can't see the button then try to scroll the page a little bit.
If you want to clear all the shorts you have watched in one go, there is now a button that will scroll for you and clear all of them. This is not very well tested because I need to wait for more shorts in history to test it better. It should get better over time.
I created this extension because I like to curate my YouTube history for better recommendations. It was quite difficult to clear the shorts manually and took a lot of clicks, so I automated it.
This extension has been updated a couple of times after YouTube changed the site structure. I expect this to happen relatively frequently since it's relying on a specific html structure, I will try to fix it as fast as possible but please don't leave me bad reviews in this case. Instead of the button, only a text was displayed "Waiting for the UI to load...". And i am not typing this in my haste or impatience. I did wait for a long time. (there is no network issue) Dude plz fix this /\
- (2025-07-24) Elias Hawkins: It was working perfectly but now it is not. Not sure if youtube changed something but now there is a "Waiting for UI to load..." message next to the shorts and it won't update. The developer may need to update the extension, or something is interfering with the addon. I used brave for this but I tested with chrome as well and it still has the same issues. Please fix, thanks
- (2025-07-01) Benjamin Brewer: It sorta works... Youtube shows the row's as deleted; but return an hour later and you'll see it has repopulated a portion of the history. Return 12 hours later repeat and continue the repetition on interval. I'm guessing that syncs are being merged or youtube wasn't able to process the requests. The tool is still useful in that every flash was a minute of my life wasted, and watching the deleted reinforces that I burnt that time. Thankyou for writing and sharing the tool.

It doesn't seem to be working for me, and I'm also unsure how to use it properly since there were no clear instructions provided. For example, the “Clear row” option doesn’t appear at all for me. Also, when I click on the pinned extension while viewing a YouTube Short, and then select “Delete YouTube Shorts from history,” it just redirects me back to the Chrome Web Store page where I originally installed the extension. Could you please help me resolve this? I'd really appreciate some guidance or troubleshooting steps. Thanks in advance. Ps. I'll leave a 5 star review if you can help me to get it working properly, this would be sooo helpful.

- (2024-07-07) Amado ChS: This extension truly works. It removes Shorts videos from the YouTube history page, rather than merely hiding them like other extensions do. When activated, it displays a ‘Clear now’ button that automatically deletes videos row by row. While it may be a bit manual and slow, especially if you have many Shorts videos to delete, at least you won’t have to click through each one or search for all the shorts in your activity history.
