• (2022-06-26) Y Cole: I like the 8bit feel of the game but the game does lag a little bit but could be from my laptop. Overall, it's a solid Dungun crawler game that changes the map each time you die so it keeps the game fun.
• (2022-03-08) fat gt: I know this game is like, 10 years old or whatever, and maybe, it's just a fault of the port, but honestly, this game is really unfair sometimes. Unlike the other 2 spelunky games, the spelunker here is nearly the exact same size as one block, making it really hard to jump out of one tile corridors, and it can lead to a lot of deaths in the ice caves. The explosion effect also lasts way to long and makes ufo's the most annoying enemy in the game. (they don't even go left or right when jumped on, they just fall directly down!) The lack of saving also sucks, but it doesn't really bother me. Also if you throw a sticky bomb while holding a damsel it's probably gonna stick to the damsel and that really sucks. Also the snake pit, appears way too much, even when there's no "I hear snakes... I hate snakes!" prompt at the beginning, it still shows up most of the time, I mean free mattock, but it's still weird nonetheless .
• (2021-09-28) Kok Chuan Koh: There's no way for me to uninstall this extension. Has anyone successfully uninstall it? Removing the extension causes Chrome to crash. This seems to be indicative of malware corruption of an innocent game. Google, please help!

• (2021-05-14) Hannah Litts: I like this game a ton, however there are some major issues I would like to see fixed. 1. No sound. For me, sound is one of the most important parts of a game as it is what helps you immerse into the experience. I had this game before my brother and thought that it was a silent game, but low and behold, the port he downloaded for his Amazon Fire tablet from uptodown.com had sounds. 2. No high scores. I find it easier to have high scores in a game simply because I never have the time to write down stats. Plus I'm always losing things. Like seriously, I can set my glasses down and not find them until a month later. Point is, high score fix please. 3. Dark levels are clear as anything. 4. No tunnel man. Please fix all of these. Would be much appreciated.

• (2020-12-03) Old Account: BE WARNED: Although fun... Many people in my school had this extension, and many computers were crashing or shutting down and never starting up again. Some tech guys went through a lot of the computers, and found that this extension contains a virus that will slowly destroy your device! Seriously, I'm not joking! Uninstall it!

• (2019-01-28) Harry Neil: Amazing, but here is a list of bugs I have encountered(from mildest to severest): - In the temple, kali's figure can be overlayed by the other humanoid figures - Damsels can perform a Schrodinger and appear in both "loot" and "kills" if the exit door is partially covered with a boulder or push block and the damsel is held and the player sprints towards the door holding up, - If two dead tree's top branches overlap in a restless dead level, the overlap will be green leaves and not atrophying branches, - Skeletons in a restless dead level will bleed 1 drop of blood if a skull is thrown at them(this took 4 years for me to discover this), - Extremely rare glitch where parts of the walls of olmec's lair where destroyed(in my case it was two blocks), the player can leave the level, climbing up or down. I don't know what caused this, but it might've been to do with the yellow orbs, - Standing on top of a tree and pressing down+S and then pressing up or down(idk which one) above the rope(simultaneously standing on the leafy branches) will cause the climbing animation to occur. You can change the direction you're facing but can't climb down. Might require a block to be above the player while doing this - UFOs can get trapped in falling ice blocks without dying - Lava doesn't always disappear when the blocks around it are destroyed(might be old glitch) - Falling while holding a damsel can leave the damsel in the carried position(might be old glitch) - Getting hit while climbing a rope will change the player's x position, pushing them off the rope. Likewise, the direction the player is facing is changeable, but you can't climb up or down. - The text at the beginning at the game is not randomized(unless you press esc in a game then press search icon+9), - The exit door doesn't change when you defeat olmec, - Bombing blocks in the mines, jungle and ice caves sometimes doesn't get rid of the grass/rocks on the exploded blocks, - Dark levels defunct, - Skeletons absent from mines, - In rushing water levels, the fish in the lower section can attempt to attack you from other pools, drawing them to the top and making them easy to kill, - Falling platforms defunct in the ice caves(not really a complaint), - If the yeti king's roar makes a block with spikes on it pushable, the spikes will not be affected and hover there if the block falls - The music is GONE... - Some unfair but rare collision problems, like getting crushed by a push block by running into it, - Sticky bombs completely broken by "attaching" to enemies up to 15 blocks away, triggering when the bomb hits a wall and then latching on to the closest enemy, - Visiting the black market prevents shops from spawning on subsequent levels, - The mummy is not guaranteed to spawn on 4-1(I checked everywhere and couldn't find the scepter, which is indestructible) - FREEZING - - Shotgun pellets sometimes freeze the game when hitting an enemy. If the game unfreezes, the enemy will be duplicated and pushed back a small amount every frame while frozen. Has happened 3 times, all from enemies which die by one bullet - - In fact I lost a run which could've racked up 2 million to a body falling into the abyss and the consequent freeze. The only thing that would be unsupportable without a copy-paste code or something similar would be high scores. Rooms and tunnel man could be unlocked from the start. Additionally, if you press the search button and then 2 it's supposed to bring you to the level editor, which it does, and you can place blocks and whatnot, but you can't play it...I guess this is a repercussion of having to remove saved data... Otherwise great game! (also, great that you can still climb onto the spelunky text if you jump off the rope at the right side of the screen when you load the game. It took me 2 1/2 years to accidentally encounter that...) Press the search icon and then 0 for a surprise Also, what's with the disproportionally high occurence of jetpacks within blocks(compared to other items)?? Not a complaint.
• (2018-09-24) Johnny Barvo: Great port of the original spelunky, except for its flaws. 1. No saving scores, or data of any sort 2. No tunnel man 3. When I run into a moveable block it will occasionally suffocate me 4. Level editor is a joke, it works, but since the chromebook edition doesn't have this as a completed feature it just shows the walrus damsel. If the game were actually complete, I would rate it higher. Still fun otherwise.

I've spent hours trying to unlock them, and when I finally complete the circumstances to unlock them, they don't unlock! Also there are no highscores and no music. The tunnel man is also missing. Also the dark levels are as clear as day. Fix these issues then only can it be a true port.
