- (2021-12-13) Ray Herfurth: I use this app to text from my desk top. I tried to login of Friday and received this error - NET::ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALID - I have tried to reach them since then with ZERO luck. I paid for a lifetime subscription and am feeling very ignored. If this does not get fixed ASAP I will need to find another texting platform. VERY DISAPPOINTING!
- (2020-11-18) Adam Bruno: Cannot text from computer. No support. No help. Nothing, since app was sold off.
- (2019-05-17) Kojak Edwards: Loved Google's Messages for Web, until it started making me nuts with it's constant disconnects and asking that I need to scan the code on both my chromebooks, for it to work for a few hours then rinse and repeat. Pulse does everything MforW did, without the drama! Paying for the lifetime subscription for something that actually works is far better than having a free application that frustrates me.
- (2018-11-29) Jon Grieser: Great app. Been using it for a couple of years on my phone and added it to my tablet and laptop as a lifetime subscriber. Very well designed and implemented with a host of features. Developer is very responsive. As far as I am concerned, Pulse is the best SMS app out there.
- (2018-07-09) Cole Downey: Customer support was immediate, and this is my go to SMS app. Thanks Luke.
- (2018-06-26) Victoria Medford: its cool. similar to imessage. i did the lifetime purchase.
- (2018-05-22) Lasse O: Google should pay attention! Great app
- (2018-05-04) Pamela: Near perfect; the app does everything it says it will. It works flawlessly with my phone, macbook, and pc. I quit using the app because I don't get text notifications on my fitness watch. I have a Polar Activity Tracker; I get text notifications when I use the native messaging app on my Galaxy S9+, but not with this messaging app. Doesn't work with my Fitbit either. Text notifications pop up on my phone screen, but it's not sending to my watch. Would love to know how to fix this.
- (2018-04-05) Alex Prociw: Using this app on Windows,Android phone, and tablet. No issues. Great app so far
- (2018-03-23) Allison Cartwright: After a very frustrating experience with mySMS (still waiting on a refund), I was able to get Pulse up and running on my Android and on my IMac. Thank you!
- (2018-03-19) I've tried Hangouts, MightyText, PushBullet and AirDroid. Yesterday, I installed Allo, then uninstalled Allo and discovered Klinkerapps. WIN & Chrome variants are fired up and I'll provide feedback as features are added and refined.
- (2017-11-17) flakey
- (2017-11-04) Duncan Wood: Great. Please fix the issue where you can not click on links! Must need feature on chrome!
- (2017-10-31) Ben Nicholas: I really like the app, but it still has some issues, the biggest of which is on some computers, clicking on the notification doesn't open the reply menu. Instead, just a white box appears. It's strange cause it works fine on my laptop, but not my desktop. If this is fixed, it's definitely 5 stars. The main app itself works fantastically, it;s just the notifications are buggy. And I wish they would make a noise when they pop up.
- (2017-10-28) A StoKato: I love this app. It's really the closest thing to an iMessage universal SMS messaging app for Android. It can be a little wonky to set up, but once set up properly, it works great, with flawless Chrome OS notifications.
- (2017-10-20) Dale Meyer: didnt sync all the messages and when i told it to resync it cleaned and nothing is shown on the app and the phone app still doenst have all the messages. uninstalling.
- (2017-10-06) Derik Berwald: The entire application and suite is amazing. Syncing of SMS between devices is near flawless. I've tried so many other apps to accomplish what this one accomplishes. MightyText, mySMS, Pushbullet, Republic Anywhere, and AirDroid have all had either small issues that led to me not liking the app, or critical issues that prevented me from being able to use it all together.
- (2017-09-08) Caleb Cox: Solid app! One missing feature is the ability to change conversation details (like the group name and colors) from the Chrome app. Also, I would love to be able to search by group nickname when starting a new conversation. Lastly, it's a bummer that the contact images on my phone don't show up in the Chrome app.
- (2017-08-30) Working great so far, would like to see some improvements and hope it evolves.
- (2017-08-27) Paul Gerard Saret: Helps me be more efficient. I don't need to go get my phone anymore whenever I need to text.
- (2017-08-15) Heliodor Jalba: Are you kidding me? This is amazing! I've been waiting for years for the perfect phone+laptop texting app! MightyText and the other things before this have tried and failed.
- (2017-08-14) Josh McCall: Beautiful!
- (2017-07-21) Skplunkerin: (update) It's still buggy. In addition to problems I've already had with older version (see below), we now see messages in the wrong order. If I text someone and they respond, it'll show them in the wrong order... which makes it very very difficult to follow the conversation I'm having, enough so that I'm losing messages in the mess. ------- The biggest issue I frequently deal with is read messages not being marked as "read". In order to mark a message as "read", I need to click it... read it, click out into another message, and then click back into the already read message.
- (2017-07-13) Jonathan: Can't change settings like colors from webapp. Extremely barebones and UI wastes space.
- (2017-06-19) Justin Faluotico: The Android app is good, but I'm having problems sending texts from the Chrome app. I received messages, but I can't send any out.
- (2017-06-01) Max _: Actual messaging works perfectly fine, but it's way too barebones for its own good. I'd love an option to have timestamps for every message and to have notifications not disappear after 10 seconds or so.
- (2017-05-30) It does not provide desktop alerts for incoming messages. It's supposed to, but it doesn't work for me.
- (2017-05-10) Jess Danielson: I liked the mobile app but you need a subscription to use on other platforms and I don't like giving out my credit card for a free trial
- (2017-04-24) Techan Tefera Bedasa: nice to use it
- (2017-04-21) Thomas Reamer: Really great application and very responsive developer. Using Pulse App and Extention running on Moto G5 Plus, Windows Chrome, and Chrome O/S. I agree to the resizing but otherwise works exactly as stated so thumbs up from me.
- (2017-04-18) Stephen Hildebrand: Great app. I only wish I could change the interface size/scale.
- (2017-04-17) Alec Reser: I get push notifications, which is nice. What I've noticed however, is if you try clicking on the notification window that pops up, if you're not logged in via the browser as well, it takes you to the following url: https://messenger.klinkerapps.com/index.html. Same goes for any MMS messages that you try clicking on. You would expect the image to open in a new tab but instead it directs you to the same url as above. You have to right click and open image source. So my complaint is that I should not have to log into both the chrome extension AND the browser just to be able to take advantage of pop up notifications as well as viewing MMS messages. Also, some colors do not match up between the mobile app and the chrome extension. For example, for the default gold theme, on mobile the color of gold is more orange than Chrome. The text for the theme on Chrome is white instead of black on mobile. My eyes hurt trying to read white text on a semi yellow speech bubble.
- (2017-04-13) Justin West: This app is a great replacement for Hangouts, but I would really like to have my conversation list visible on the left when I am in a conversation. I miss messages because I can't see the full list sometimes and this would be beneficial.
- (2017-04-11) Matthew Carson: Great App. Love the fact that it lets me text from my computer and has an easy to use interface. The only issue I have is all my text don't appear on the desktop app. They do show up on my phone though.
- (2017-03-24) Doug Barmore (eromrab): Need to be able to minimize to tray and keep it there instead of just closing down or having to leave it on taskbar.
- (2017-02-03) Jonathan Minter: The service (meaning the combination of Pulse on the phone, plus the ability to sync with a desktop app) is great. The app has a few bugs/annoyances that make it less than 5 stars. 1) Can't initiate a text with more than one person from this app. Have to switch to phone to do that. 2) When you click "Reply" from a notification, it loads a separate window that rarely works. 3) Clicking on an MMS image loads a new window in Chrome, but the image doesn't show up. (Not a problem unless you need to zoom into an image to see detail) 4) Sometimes messages don't get marked as read unless you click on them, go back to conversation list, then click on them again, then go back to conversation list. 5) When starting a new message, the autocomplete input for the recipient works fine, but you cannot use the down arrow to actually select the person you want to send it to. This requires you to take your hands off the keyboard, to the mouse, back to the keyboard to send the message. 6) If you are in a conversation, and a new message comes in from another person, the conversation list pane on the left side doesn't refresh with that message. So unless you see the notification, you have no visual cue that there is a new message there unless you go back to the main conversation list window. So I'm happy I paid for the service, and the developer has done a better job than any of the other options out there for desktop syncing of text messages, but as a former iPhone user, this is the one place where I constantly think, "Man, iMessage is waaaay better than anything on the Android platform..."
- (2017-01-27) Jeremy Wininger (SlaveZeo): Love this app. It's a great companion to the Android app of the same name.
- (2017-01-18) Adrian Ma: Can't reply on pc. Every time a text comes up, I press reply and it'll say operation failed
- (2017-01-14) Tyler Stahl: Plenty of options to customize conversations. A very clean layout and structure. Of course the multiple platforms is a great feature that I love to use! Can't wait to see whats to come!
- (2017-01-12) Benjamin Sherman: After being on a Mac with iPhone for a long time, I find this to be a great match for the Android SMS/MMS application letting me have the "from the computer" texting functionality I was used to with iMessage. This App version is basically the same as the Extension, except all functionality is broken out into a standalone window with it's own app icon, etc. One thing I've noticed, it's a bit tricky to add an image from this, since it needs to be smaller than 1MB due to MMS restrictions. Also, can't initiate a multi-user/group MMS from Chrome, but I'll add the 5th star when that works.
- (2017-01-07) Finn Evans: The app keeps signing me out. Try to reset password and it gave me a connection not found.
- (2016-12-31) Hunter Bowles: Awesome app.
- (2016-12-25) Kelly Vergara: This is a superb app. I've never had a problem that didn't eventually go away on its own. Before it did, the creator was extremely prompt in returning emails and very helpful. Plus, the pricing plans blow away competition (I'm looking at you, PushBullet).
- (2016-12-22) Love the app and syncing, but the notifications for both this app isn't working right now. (But at least the extension is)
- (2016-12-08) Dave Aalbers: I switched from MySMS to this one. good choice.
- (2016-12-06) Gus Silva: Just started using and so far it looks great and works pretty well. Only a few complaints: - Rarely do the notifications work - I really wish the contact photos showed instead of just colored circles
- (2016-11-25) Dave Cochran: just started testing
- (2016-11-17) Nick Weber: Turn off pop up alerts. Landscape mode would be nice.
- (2016-10-31) Jeff McKnight: The great thing about this app is that is works. works great. There are a few bugs that need fixing though: - typing box way too small. - click behavior is inconsistent. clicking reply open another app box, clicking the notification open Messenger webpage. It's frustrating. - no contacts photos sync. - android apps has great customization options. The chrome app has none of this. >> It's in beta, so I know (hope) these things will be works out!
- (2016-10-23) Thomas Klock: Used to work great but now messages I send from my computer don't actually send.
