Copy a Google Drive Folder, including all sub-folders and contents

Description from store This app will copy all contents and sub-folders within a Google Drive folder, all while preserving the original folder structure. As long as you have viewing rights on a folder, you can copy the entire folder to your own Google Drive. The folder will be placed in the top-level of your Google Drive, and you can move it from there. To launch app: click "Visit Website" button at top of window. Usage ===== 1. Select your folder with the Google Picker, or paste a folder URL with Ctrl-C 2. Choose a name for the new folder 3. Click "Copy Folder". When the copy begins, you will be alerted that you can close the window. In addition, the app user will become the owner of the new folder and all sub-folders and contents. This makes it especially handy for making a new copy of shared information when someone leaves an organization. This app does not store any data relating to your account or Google Drive Notes ===== * This app performs best in Google Chrome or Chromium. * This app requires several permissions to run. The app needs to run offline so that you can close the window while the copying completes. You can view the source code on the Github page, listed below, to review the app and launch your own copy of the app if security is a concern. * Selecting "Yes" on Copy Permissions will make the app run *much* slower than normal. * By default the folder will copy to the same location as the original folder. You can copy it to the root directory by selecting "Root directory" under "Copy folder to" Disclaimer: The new copy will **not** retain any original information regarding creation date and revision history. (2022-10-17) Cary Hart: I have used this app for 2 personal moves and helped multiple teachers use it to 'grab' their files from their "old school" before they lost access. It is a bit tricky to figure out the best way to organize it, but otherwise it works great. Tips: Organize all of your files that you want to copy into one folder first. Also I have only had issues with having to manually restart when the person had in excess of 10,000 files that they were copying. Otherwise it works great though it may take a day or two to finish. Thank you for creating such and easy to use service that does what everyone imagines Takeout should do.

(2022-04-27) kristina graber: great product for copying folders and files "shared with you"...however for large datasets it is lacking since it stops after only 90 minutes and then requires you to wait 24 hours to copy again by default. Had to manually resume it otherwise I would be waiting for weeks....

(2020-07-22) Divyam Garg: I used this extension for quite some time and it worked flawlessly until recently when it started showing errors that other copying options weren't exhibiting, it would skip some folders and duplicate the remaining ones that it did copy. These errors occurred on multiple occasions, so if anyone else is experiencing similar issues as well, please let me know.
(2020-07-20) Purilarp Daoaroonkiet: It's amazing at what it does, but you should've mentioned somewhere (may in the FAQ) that the time limit is 90 minutes and then the app will have to pause for 24 hours. I understand this is a Google thing but since I was expecting to finish the copy by letting it run overnight, now I have to wait an extra 24 hrs. Other than this, the thing works like a charm and I appreciate anyone working on this at all. Thank you!
