I pushed past it though, because every app has its flaws, so it didn't bother me all that much. What did bother me is that they said that "it's a website for everyone" and yet, they refused to let me publish my writing because of my serious stories and writing style. I wanted to let my creativity shine, and yet, I was unable to. I eventually downloaded the last of my works and switched to a different site. I'm very disappointed in the way that they treated me, and a mod even went as far as calling my work "grotesque and unfit for the public" Honestly, if you're a teen or older, this app isn't for you.
  • (2018-07-25) Fantastic App! I enjoy being creative and it allows me to publish stories as well after i create them.
  • (2017-10-28) SAGE NT: i like evrything about it excxept the fact that i dont get to name the price
  • (2017-10-11) Guinevere de la Mare: My second grader loves writing picture books on Storybird. We have a yearly membership so that we can download free PDFs of all of his stories, and I have ordered several printed books to give to grandparents for the holidays. I am always impressed with how supportive and positive the community is. Having every public story and comment moderated by a real person makes me feel secure that my child is safe online, both from a privacy standpoint and also from bullying.
  • (2017-10-10) Patrick Tang: It is great. Five star.
  • (2017-08-09) Nic Dalton: Storybird is the best! I have so amny friends on it and we talk about it all the time. I love the fact you can right a picture book with another person. I don't really like the fact that with moderation takes months unless you pay $14 to become a book club member and that moderation doesn't fix up mistakes but stops you from doing particular things, but, over all, STORYBIRD IS AWESOME!!!!!!
  • (2017-05-28) My Creative Writing Club loves to use this to publish their yearly books for poetry, short stories, and art! The only drawback they hate is when EVERY mistake must be corrected, even if it's purposeful and for the sake of the artform :) However, it's a great tool to teach poetry to visual learners who struggle with abstract writing and concrete learners who struggle as well.
  • (2017-05-09) McKenna G: I want to share my stories but i clicked on student and i try to get a new account it won't let me!
  • (2017-03-26) J S: I have to go online to use it but now I can use the app! :D
  • (2017-03-16) Rachel Lurie: It's amazing and I already have a few chapters, but for a regular account there are a few problems. These problems are: -There is a limit to how much a chapter has -Moderation takes at least four to five months. -and when you go back to edit a published chapter the moderation takes longer.
  • (2017-01-22) Roby Fields: I hate it
  • (2016-06-21) Amelia Huening: AWESOME!!!! this is the best!
  • (2016-06-21) Nicole Friedel: I like how teachers can create accounts that they can assign and monitor student work! I also like that students/parents are able to purchase books that are fundraiser for school. I hope that creators will allow users to add their own images, add text boxes where they desire, and format text with different font styles and sizes. I also had trouble on new page. I added text to bottom text box, but when I dragged image to page, it covered text, and I was unable to remove image, so I wound up having to type the text again, on the opposite page.
  • (2016-05-28) nerd: I LOVE Storybird! I have an account already on Storybird, and I'm glad they've made it into an app. The only thing I don't like is the fact you can't choose your own cover art.

  • (2015-10-25) What If?: I have already made 6 books in one month because it's a good app, has good art styles, and all kids who love writing a lot would also enjoy.Plus class mode is private for students so strangers can't read his/ hers things, Ect. I could go through a day just talking about this app. Though it's the best typing/ writing site ever!
  • (2015-09-19) Eva Wilson: It's okay. Yeah.
  • (2015-07-23) Saeema Khan: it doesn't allow you to add characters

  • (2015-01-13) Mohammed Alkuwari: GREAT!!
  • (2015-01-09) Jazmin Pagan: What an awesome app! You get to write, read, and increase your writing skills, which I desperately needed to do, The staff is also very efficient; I had a technical issue and they fixed it within 48 hours! :D The only downside is that moderation (when you're publishing a book) takes up to 4-5 days if you're not a preninum member, but moderation is necessary, to keep our little community clean. The books are 100% free, by the way. The books are made by both professional writers and people with ideas. Highly recommended! :3 I hope more people join, and find hidden gems.
  • (2014-12-30) angela adler: A standard, (but effective) tool in "unblocking" the imagination of the reluctant storyteller. Good practice in the craft of writing.

  • (2014-08-17) Charlene Sirlin: Great feature is that students can set the target language before writing.
  • (2014-07-26) Theodora Føien: Fulfills it's purpose, but I thought I could upload my own artwork. I wish it were possible, but oh well. It's supposed to give inspiration to writers and poets, thus you cannot upload your own artwork.
