- (2024-08-29) Ryan Hall: I am a long time user of Readbetter's competitor, P2K: Pocket to Kindle. Both have their pros/cons, as I recently compared both. Here's what I like about Readbetter: * The preview feature that lets you see if your content looks good before sending it to your kindle * Marginally better support for photos, embedded content, etc. Though far from good. Readbetter specifically highlighted support for embedded tweets, but I could never see them in the articles I tested. Here's what I like better about P2K: * Background processing. When you save an article to pocket, the save is instant and P2K sends the article to your kindle in the background. Readbetter makes you wait with the chrome extension activated, which is a little annoying. * The mobile app. Half of the articles that I send to my kindle I first discover on my phone. Pocket has a mobile app that makes mobile saving/sharing very easy. With Readbetter, you have to be in the browser and have the extension installed, which is more annoying on mobile. I hope this feedback is helpful to the Readbetter team in designing a sweet tool! You guys have some great ideas and I look forward to seeing the product mature :).
