  • (2024-02-14) Pam Levaro: I love this app for printing with my chromebook on my cannon mf 230 but I wish it had the option to print landscape. I have to use my pc to print landscape.
  • (2024-01-30) Larry Vogel: Been using for years - now suddenly it doesnt work on my Chrome book anymore? And no response concerning. WTH does this comment mean: Chrome apps are available only on ChromeOS. They will no longer be available on ChromeOS starting from 2025
  • (2023-12-21) Christian: Works like a charm.
  • (2023-11-03) Tim Klaassens: I have a Canon i-SENSYS MF643CDW and this app is the only thing that makes it possible for me to print to this printer from a Chromebook. Google really sucks for bad printer support.
  • (2023-09-20) Ana: Finally after 4 hours of troubleshooting spread out over two days this fixed my problem! Bless whoever made this application. Thank you so much. I really didn't want to have to return this dang printer especially after seeing how most budget printers will not work with Chrome OS. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
  • (2023-08-08) Lucas Swanger: Worked for me
  • (2023-07-26) David Conway: I got it working (after a little fiddling) with my Canon ImageClass MF726Cdw ("MF720 Series") after everything else I tried failed. Thank you so much!

  • (2023-04-03) Curt Elliott: OHHH MYYY GOSSSHHHH! I have been sitting at this stupid Chromebook for almost two hours trying to figure out how to add it to my boyfriend's new printer (Canon MF644CDw). Someone in a comment in an article from 2021 suggested this app, so I thought I'd give it a Hail Mary shot. I clicked on it, it installed, and in seconds it said it had added his printer! I honestly couldn't believe it, so I tried printing something, and d*mn if it didn't print!! I mean the whole thing took less than two minutes. BLESS YOU for your app. You have made me one happy person!
  • (2023-01-15) Максим Тимофеев: My Xerox WorkCentre 3025 now works! Great and useful app, thank you! upd. Do not print multipage PDFs, app just freezes. But I can print 1 or 2 pages, it is still better than nothing before.
  • (2022-12-21) John Wilson: This works well with my Canon Maxify MB5050. Thanks for the really useful app.
  • (2022-07-16) W Hodges: I spent numerous hours trying to get my chromebook to print on my HP Deskjet 2722 All In One. Downloaded HP Smart & went through setting up the printer. It always went smooth as clock work but in the end it still would not print. A friend suggested I try the Wi-Fi Print Driver for Chromebooks. I found it in the Chrome Web Store downloaded it & was able to print on my HP Deskjet 2722 All In One. This is one app. I plan on sharing with family friends. Thank You to the creators of this app.
  • (2022-06-07) Pablo “Tseriblosom” Gutierrez: After searching and searching days on end, I found a youtuber Bbernherdsr discussing this app. It worked perfectly on my Canon MP6620. I would like to thank him for this app but comments are turned off. I would have given up on this until I found a comment to reboot the Chromebook and the my printer MP6620 was finally accepted capable and recognized. Thank you so much for the developer of this app once again.
  • (2022-04-11) Norman Mitchell: Since the demise of Goolge Cloud Print I have been using CUPS with our Chromebooks. I have previously used CUPS and was pleased that this was available for Chromebooks. However, we had continuous issues and a frustrating time whenever we wanted to print. THEN I discovered this App and 'WiFi Printer Driver for Chromebooks' works flawlessly for us. Perhaps we are lucky and have very compatible and supported printers. Recommended.
  • (2022-04-01) Amber Tal: This app detects my printer and says that it's "compatible" with a green check mark, yet nothing prints. My printer is connected to the same WiFi as my computer. IDK what is going on. This extension does not work. I have a Canon Pixma.
  • (2022-03-17) Edith Wilcox: Canon MX492. This worked as advertised. Thank you! I was about to scrape the printer and buy something else. 5+ stars.
  • (2022-02-23) Shirosh Peiris: Works fine with MB2020..
  • (2022-02-17) Jasenko Blazevic: Ever since Google Print stopped working, my Samsung M2020 Series was useless. I could print from the iOS devices, but that was about it. I tried many things to fix it and nothing really worked until I found this app. Amazing effort, hope it stays supported in the future.
  • (2022-02-06) Scivvus 2000: Does exactly what it says on the tin: it just works! It immediately found my printer on the network, one that is not supported by my Chromebook, and then printing simply worked.
  • (2022-01-26) Timothy Nichols III: It works great! I am new to chromebooks and almost returned my Lenovo Duet 5 to the store because I could not get it to work with my printer. Everything works now! Thankyou!
  • (2022-01-13) Andrew Morgan: Searching for months to connect my Canon Image Class MF247dw to my new chromebook to print.... and this app is simple and resolved my issues and happy, happy printer !!!!
  • (2022-01-05) Mark Adams: Just discovered my Pixma MX922 no longer works with Chromebook printing. Found this, installed it...it recognizes the printer in the app, but does not when I hit CTRL+P. So does this mean there's no way to get this to work with Chromebook?? UPDATE- Does not print with Brother MFC J4535...same as above. What am I doing wrong?
  • (2021-12-30) ken webb: Wifi Printer Driver Simply perfect! Connect to your printer wifi network and launch this app. It finds all yor printers and makes them available to Chrome and Android applications. I have two printers on a wifi network working well with Windows, old Netbooks and even a Fire tablet. My internet connection is on a separate wifi via a hotspot on my phone. Chrome print setup only works if your internet and printers are on the same network.
  • (2021-12-11) John Belt: Finally! I can now print from my chromebook to my Cannon MF230. I used to use google cloud print but when they disabled it, I couldn't find another way to print. This app does the trick. There are a couple of caveats. First, the app has to be running and it doesn't run at startup. Open the app first, then try to print and it will show up in your list of printers. Also, the app defaults to A4. This gave me paper mismatch error since I use letter size. I make sure to change the paper size in the printer dialogue.
  • (2021-11-30) Fernando Cofiel: Great solution to print on HP Laser 107w from Chromebook Samsung Plus!
  • (2021-11-25) tim stone: Have to restart my computer every time to get the app to find my printer.
  • (2021-10-27) Kevin Goodno: This works with my Chromebook and my Canon MX490. However, it does not want to print to anything except letter settings. I print a lot of mailing labels aka 4x6 and, even though it shows as an option, it wil l not format to that. Does anyone know how to get this to work correctly?
  • (2021-10-21) Jill S: Works great for my Canon mf232w printer and a Chromebook! Thanks so much!
  • (2021-10-15) R N: Whew! after cloud print got deleted, im happy i found this. Chromebooks are hard to connect to printers sometimes :/ The only problem is that i can't choose whether to print in color or black and white. Pls fix!
  • (2021-09-02) Paul Bryce: Fantastico, it works ! Been 'chatting' with Brother and they said it's impossible from my Chromebook to network print without Google CloudPrint. It isn't impossible, this driver app set it all up in seconds and after 8 months struggling sending emails with attachments to my Ipad for printing, I can now print directly from my Chromebook again
  • (2021-08-25) Donovin Cox: My Canon MX490 used to work automatically with my Acer Chromebook, haven't used either in a while and suddenly the printer would not connect via WiFi. Installed this and it is was working within 30 seconds, thank you, I wish I could give this 100 stars!
  • (2021-07-14) Anthony Gamble: Finally......... I have a Pixelbook and have spent countless hours trying to print wirelessly to an HP D110 printer. Frustration beyond belief. I added this extension, hit Ctrl + P, and BAM, printing with ease. Whoever developed this deserves some good karma because he/she has managed to do what google couldn't. Cracks my @_s up. Constant updates to Chrome OS so they will do "everything" EXCEPT the simple task of stable, consistent wireless printing.
  • (2021-07-11) Laurie Bayless: Works well with Brother MFC-J870DW
  • (2021-07-01) Tina Trudeau: This app did exactly what I wanted. I could not find any way to install a driver to Chrome for my Brother printer. The Chrome Book help was worthless. I stumbled on this app, installed it and now I can print from my Chrome Book! It was that easy.
  • (2021-06-26) Kimberly Williams: Finally something that will get this cursed Canon Pixma MX942 working with Chromebook again - thank you!
  • (2021-06-24) Ed Short: It worked on my old Brother MFC printer. I had a little trouble at first, so I deleted the printer and let the app "refind" it. This assured all the settings were correct and it worked. Great find.
  • (2021-06-19) Mo: Good news - it recognises Conon MX922. Bad news - wants to use upper photo tray. I cant find any settings on the printer or the app to change the tray default. I have tried all options on Internet and I could think of including using andriod printer app on chromebook, manually setting ppd file from reddit, using chrome apps & extensions etc. Nothing seems to work. I hate throwing away a prefectly good printer because of lack of support from Canon.
  • (2021-06-14) Hazelwells Wendy: Sorted! After weeks and months of dead ends following the demise of CloudPrint (RIP) thank you!
  • (2021-05-12) David Holley: What a great application. Added to Chrome and one minute later I was printing documents on my Canon mb2320.
  • (2021-05-04) Kyra Ross: I was a little skeptical that this would do anything to be honest. I have an older Canon laser printer but it's a workhorse still going strong , and it works well with both my Linux and Windows programs. Unfortunately once they killed Cloud Printing it started working dubiously at best and not at all at worst; Scanning still worked reliably but printing seemed to vary minute to minute, and got worse and worse as time went on. I was referred to this application after hours of frustrated troubleshooting when I happened across an article mentioning it and to my delight and relief it seemed to restore printing functionality right away. I'll need more time to test how many features it restored, but at least I can print again. Thank you so much !
  • (2021-05-04) Kevin Willard: I have a Canon Imageclass MF232W which stopped printing when Google turned off Cloud Printing in Jan 2021. Canon Imageclass printers do not support the new Google print method, printer not found by the chrome setup software and other Canon substitutes didn't work. I spent 4 hours last night trying to get it to print so my son gould get his homework. I found an article that said this driver world work and it did!
  • (2021-05-04) Rashim Wahi: I spend hours and was just about to order a new printer but this app just took 2 seconds to get my brother MFC-J835DW connected to Chromebook !!! Awesome app !!
  • (2021-04-30) Greg “Basically Thermite” X: Doesn't appear to support older Brother unit (MFC-490CW) - I have ours on a static IP address within our wifi network, and this app scanned for a long time from my Chromebook Flip, but never located it or any other printers it could add. If we update our printer hardware, I'll try again, and update this review as appropriate.
  • (2021-04-16) Marianella Carrillo: This is a great app... a solution for the trouble between my Acer Chromebook and my Canon LBP151
  • (2021-04-15) Vida Wong: Thank you to Jonathon Cassell suggesting this app on the Chromebook Classroom. It works for my Canon MX492..... tried for many hours to print from my Chromebook, about to give up and came across this App. Thank you so much!
  • (2021-04-14) mike rosaasen: Easy to install but now all I can print in is color, Why? Otherwise it is a great app!!!
  • (2021-04-12) Julie Stewart: I have a B1W printer, a Samsung M2070 Xpress. It worked perfectly for 4 years, then, with the changes in Chromebook printing it stopped working. This morning I needed to print off 1 page of A4 and spent over an hour trying to find a solution. I thought that I might have to splash out on a new, compatible, printer. As I print less than 100 pages per year and am on a limited pension, it was pretty annoying. And then, after searching for help, I landed on the directprint.io and found this app. My printer was re-connected again within minutes. THANK YOU !
