  • (2025-04-04) Don Prescott: Used on multiple chromebooks since last year. Paid for the license and it worked reasonably well for performing daily csv uploads to various vendors. Has always had an issue where it takes a second attempt to upload before the transfer process but that wasn't a deal breaker. However, due to a recent update the app is barely usable. Establishing connections is super slow. I clocked connections at an average of 30 seconds per connection. The same happens when switching tabs between multiple connections the lag is again about 30 seconds. Please, fix the app so it is usable. While I appreciate the new look it shouldn't hinder the performance. Form follows function.
  • (2024-03-02) Mats Westberg: I can connect to my MacBookPro but not to my OpenSuSE server, when trying to fetch a file from MacBookPro I receive about 3% then it stops to transfer, this app don't work as it should, useless!!! 14€ wasted. ed
  • (2024-02-11) Oscar Bavelaar: dont use this its garbage, does not connect. cant say anything else it just does not work, i tried the same credentials on my phone (putty) and the connection works. so this is junk!
  • (2023-05-29) Ian Primus: Garbage. Doesn't work. Total useless junk. Doesn't integrate with the browser, doesn't work with anything, downloads don't work. How you screw up such simple functionality, I don't know.
  • (2022-09-05) undefined0: uhh file didn't show up on system?? either my server is broken or this doesn't work. Probably the latter, since FileZilla worked on my windows computer. Don't try this. Oh and also its 120minutes free trial
  • (2022-08-19) a m: It is ok, as separate product. Needs to be integrated so it opens anonymous ftp servers without problems to users.
  • (2022-06-27) Eddie Rowe: Remote directory pane doesn't populate which essentially makes it worthless. On top of that the link to the community page is a blank screen, the link to "Contact" in support goes to a 404 which redirects to Plesk. Whatever moron is supporting this application is incompetent at best.
  • (2021-06-08) Eric Prelog: I read some online reviews which said this was a decent product. Ended up paying $35.99US for it. Stalls on every single upload attempt. Before it stalls, it uploads at an incredibly slow rate. It will take all night for my website backup file to be uploaded to my new provider. I need something reliable. This ain't it. If this company is honorable, they will refund my money. If they do, I will post that here. If they do not, I will post that also.
  • (2021-06-07) New May: Posting this extension without telling people that it's a trial is like having your neighbour over for dinner and giving them a bill after dessert
  • (2021-05-31) Dan S: Bottom line. Doesn't work. Couldn't download the files/directories that I needed. ftp is really simple. Been around for decades. This should not be hard. back to FileZilla
  • (2021-04-01) Stavros Hatzifotis: I installed it and does not work
  • (2021-01-05) Dominique Koelewijn: Bought it but with big regrets... terrible not working on a Chromebook. Lots of bugs and errors!
  • (2021-01-01) fx noob: worst!!!
  • (2020-12-31) Max Bartonfields Centre: Incredibly Slow. Took over an hour to upload a wordpress install to my server on a fast fibre connection and then failed. Downloaded Transmit app instead and did the same file upload in about 1 min.
  • (2020-12-28) Zofia Gaming: two hours to try? I was done after 2 minutes... not working
  • (2020-12-01) kiki: It won't let me uninstall the application
  • (2020-07-27) bricolage_en_ ruine: all the 5 star reviews(except this 1) r OBVIOUSLY either from sFTP Client or a paid 3rd party. the demo is a 2 hour trial because they don't want u 2 see just how INCOMPETENT this ap really is b4 purchasing it. any suggestions 4 a FUNCTIONAL ftp client on older ChromeBooks would b much appreciated.

  • (2020-07-15) Nagi H.: Not working on Chromebooks anymore.
  • (2020-07-04) Dinesh Sharma: Everywhere it is said the price is $2.99 for ChromeOS. The price shown in the vendor's website is $49.99. Please help.
  • (2020-04-10) Frank: to expensive
  • (2020-03-05) BungusMonkage: Useless application on ChromeOS, it asks you to set local directory but there is no way to set it, completely pointless application.
  • (2020-02-06) Meg D: $50 for upgrade. No thanks.
  • (2020-02-06) Thomas Reinhardt: Does not work at all. Local Folders cannot be selected.
  • (2020-02-02) C B: $50 for an FTP client? $2.50 take it or leave it.
  • (2020-01-04) Peter Ford: Could not get to work. No directions for setting up a normal or PASV FTP account: https://help.sftpapp.com/protocols/supported-protocols/ftp "This page is empty."
  • (2019-12-29) Guy Onearth: $50 for a license? That's not a remotely competitive price. No thanks.
  • (2019-12-09) Luka Petrovic: Not free.
  • (2019-10-21) dedomena: 1> SFTP connections (SSH) get stuck at 'generating keys'. Running on Google Pixel Slate (i5), fully updated. 2> The 'sorry to see you go' page would only let me check 'I'll be back, just reinstalling' 3> The 'sorry to see you go' page would not accept any input, even with the 'ill be back' option checked. 4> $50????? 5> $20 if you uninstall and click the 'discount' link on the 'sorry to see you go page', FYI, FWIW, YMMV. 5> #1?? Inoperable client gets worst rating.
  • (2019-10-13) Stefan Sandström: Doesn't "see" all folders. Windows jump around. Frames disappear. Slow to perform tasks. Completely unstable. Useless.
  • (2019-10-07) C Eller: Installed, connected to SFTP, accepted host fingerprint, opened SSH channel then said HMAC corruption in the log. Can select a local folder, but no directory is shown on the server. No instructions how to use it, support documentation is not useful to learn HOW to show the remote directory (e.g. HOW TO USE THIS APP), but at least they made it very easy to find the page where you pay $ 50 ro use the app. UNinstalling now.
  • (2019-10-06) D. J. Williams: gets no further than "generating keys" then stops.
  • (2019-09-27) John Blackledge: Worked once, then 'Connection Refused' thereafter. 3 days later: Had another try, got it working. Jubilant! Went to pay - found it is now priced at $50! Fifty dollars! If the developers want to correct this and get back to me, then I will buy.
  • (2019-09-25) Ashleigh Barnes: I hate this app!!!!!! I have a Chromebook and I needed a program to transfer files for my intro to computer programming class. It wouldn't let me upload any files to the public_html folder. I had to redo my whole assignment the next day on a Windows computer with WinSCP instead. This app is NOT easily accessible at all.
  • (2019-09-06) Jeff George: I purchased this app and now cannot recover my license via their support. The app is shotty at best
  • (2019-09-02) don crozier: I've been using sftp on my chromebook for about 3 years, but I haven't needed it much in the past year or more. I was very happy to see tonight that sftp ran flawlessly, I was able to download my entire website in just a few minutes. Thanks!
  • (2019-08-26) Jasper Wilms: this thing is just like good ol FileZilla, but then for Chromebook . had no problems using it. there arent many FTP clients for Chromebook. so : thanxx for existing
  • (2019-08-05) Tim Babcock: Didn't work on my ftp server the uses Windows Server 2016 while my client app is connected to a Google Chrome. I didn't make my monies worth off of this one.
  • (2019-07-22) J. Anthony: Everything is working good, as described, best solution for ChromeOS ftp that I have found so far. Basic freFTP-like functions. Trial is only 30 minutes but it only takes a minute or two to punch in the ftp info and test upload/download etc. Would be nice if it were free but you'd have to pay me a lot more to develop and maintain this app. I'll come back and give it another star if it continues to work right over the next month.
  • (2019-06-04) Szymon Mk: 50 US$? ... not economically justified, what a pitty, I would understand 10 US$, but not 50...
  • (2019-01-30) Ridwan Balogun (ridbay): I have used the free version and I must say that it works perfectly for the sftp sessions I used it for.
  • (2019-01-29) Stanislav Tsepa: only free trial
  • (2019-01-28) Nguyen Pham: ok
  • (2019-01-25) Jeff Key: I am running a the latest windows version 3.2.3 and it all works great. I have purchased a Licence for fully functionality. What you get with this is online support via chat on their web site. When they are on line this is almost instant. Once setup it works well uploading files to Family Web site.
  • (2019-01-09) Shahzeb Ihsan: Doesn't work. Only lists the folders of the remote server but you can't do download anything. Homepage asks you to download the desktop version.
  • (2018-12-23) lokilech: No connection, No Error messages, nothing ...
  • (2018-12-13) Alexander Mishin: How to uninstall this app from windows?
  • (2018-12-07) Gylver Wagnon: A working FTP client, would be really, really useful for Chrome. I have gotten very used to using FileZilla on Windows and multiple gui clients under Linux. I paid for this application when I first saw it, but it has been extremely disappointing, never really working, and often crashing the Chrome browser. I am still looking for a usable client, but sadly, this wasn't it.
  • (2018-11-30) George Chudnovski: This is app crashed Chrome after connection to ftp-server. It's my subjective opinion, in my OS
  • (2018-10-22) Christian Engelund (Nordrir): For one thing, when connecting it to a server, it doesn't give you the root of that server, you have to manually type in the path, even if that path is simply "/". Then, it doesn't start processing the queue until it has queued ALL the files for transfer, at which point it seemingly always dies (not the connection, the app itself stops responding altogether), meaning I've yet to get it to transfer ANYTHING more than at most approx. 10 files at a time. There's no reconnect feature, and if you connect again from a link or typing in the quickconnect data, it wipes all the previous session data, including queued files. For a "File Transfer Protocol" application, it's not particularly good at transferring files.
