The "highlight text" as you read/listen feature is awesome, and you can jump up and down lines and speed up the voice (multiple options) and active developer. Its best in class and Im very glad I found such a polished TTS extension :-) Thank you for the hard work!

For me and other people my brain is more in focus when each word is being highlighted than the whole sentence, still very good job, but if it could be something to be added in the future.. would be great! The different voice options are also very genuine idea implemented. Moreover the app is FREE TO USE! Thank you Devs you did an amazing job for readers/learners, it saves a lot of eyes.
• (2025-03-16) Erika Brown: I was suprised how realistic the voice is. It sounds like the premium voices on the paid voice readers. But its FREE. I recommend. This was a needle in a haystack and I am glad I found it out of all the other voice readers that say free but make you pay.
• (2025-03-06) Oracle Speaks: I have been looking for a simple free text to speech/voice extension for a year, I have tried over a dozen and "Read to Me" was an immediate winner! Good sounding voice and 2X speed which mimics a human reading better than the rest.

• (2024-12-30) Tamás Fekete: Tried it 2 minutes ago. 5 stars for now. It works. The "Google" voices are quite good. The speed can be changed. You can click on paragraphs and it instantly jumps there.

• (2024-11-12) RemoteVariate: I have been trying to use a better read aloud software, and this is by far the best one. Don't turn into speechify, please. Came back to edit this review: Could you please add a reset button into the window where it reads the words aloud, so it can be updated to real time. Like If I edit a whole page, and want it to be read back to me. The words on the small window doesn't update along with it.

I can honestly say that the value of removing a barrers and making it equitable extention, far out weighs how much I enjoy this app. The free voices, don't sound so much like robots and I believe that there is a certain amount of dignity in that.
