- (2025-06-17) Daniel Kaschel: I tried several extensions and this was the only one that worked. Note that it only works if you click on the extension and slide the toggles for what you want to hide. The big one on top is the AI overview, but the "additional features" lets you hide ads, "people also ask", and other annoying sections. Hopefully it keeps working this well!

- (2024-12-06) Chris Creery: Works when it's on but keeps turning off. If I have to keep toggling the setting on then it's not that useful, since as the other comment notes, when it's working you don't know it's there. Maybe it's not *supposed* to turn off on its own. But I very carefully checked earlier this week that it was on and removing the AI summary, I haven't opened it since, and today the summaries are back and the toggle is off.

- (2024-07-19) Lynton Fleming: Added it, closed Chrome, reopened, AI Overview was gone, thank the stars. Few hours later, google something again, AI Overview is back again. Seems to be hit or miss if it works or not.
