The Chrome version has a few missing features, and doesn't perform as well as the native versions. It also only supports x86_64 based hardware (e.g., ARM-based Chromebooks are not supported). This is a alpha release of a port of the Beam pilot software to Chrome. It is missing many of the features from the native Windows and Mac client. Here is a partial list: - Gamepad support - Screensharing support - XMPP/HTTPS proxy support - Language support - Playout device enumeration The Beam pilot software is used to drive Beam Smart Presence Systems (https://suitabletech.com/). More information can be found over at https://suitabletech.com/documentation/pilot-guide/.

  • (2015-06-15) Luca Venturini: You changed something? Now I get "This app uses 3D graphics and needs WebGL".
  • (2015-05-10) Carl Page: Great way to be present in meetings or explore around the world.
  • (2015-04-21) Robin Yellow: Doesn't work with my ARM based Acer CB5 Chromebook. Just a blank screen. It also didn't work on my Intel based Windows 8.1 laptop, but it got further than the Chromebook culminating in an unhelpful message "Unable to reach server. Reason unknown." when I tried to login. Well done to Suitable for attempting this though.
