- (2025-04-27) Sinbad: it's good at what it does but if i wanted to replace "i" with "I" it would do it even when the "i" is connected to another word e.g. "InstInct" instead of "instinct" and another problem I've run into is that this actually damages video players for a lot of sites and the video will not play unless I close the extension for all apps because of my final problem which is that closing the extension for a specific site is for whatever stupid reason hidden behind a PAYWALL, definitely would NOT recommend this extension.
- (2025-03-17) Craig Klein: Good in concept, but it doesn't seem to work with Twitch chat. It will show you the corrected work on your screen, but when the chat is sent, it will send the non-corrected word. Please fix.
- (2025-03-17) Magnifico Giganticus: OK, figured it out! I was on Reddit and it stopped working. Frustrating as hell. Well I just had a revelation. The apostrophe Reddit uses is somehow different from the one my keyboard was typing in. I copied the Reddit apostrophe into the extension and Bob's your uncle!
- (2025-03-12) James L: Very nice, is it possible to have it conserve the case the original word was in (upper case/lower case)? So for example I write replace "One" with "Two" it doesn't replace ''one" with "Two" but replaces it with "two".

One tip: When importing from json, it closes the popup after selecting the file to import from almost instantly, after doing some developer magic, I found that after selecting, it shows a little confirmation window, and it just goes away too fast for anyone to confirm! Other than that, awesome.

I use this to hide sensitive information while streaming, and I'm worried about inadvertently doxxing myself by clicking on the extension while live. It would be helpful if there was an option to hide the existing replaced words when clicking on the extension, similar to a spoiler tag.
- (2025-03-01) Rodrigo Rosa: Doesn't seem to work for outlook. I was hoping to use it to translate Chinese names into English names, but it prevents the site from loading. Possibly can't process the amount of text outlook has, not sure.
- (2025-02-15) SP Mugler: This has become my favorite Chrome extension. I use it to automatically replace politicians' names with more humorous monikers (and note the replacement by prepending an asterisk). It adds a bit of fun and a sense of control over the media environment.
- (2025-02-01) Ricky Fisher: Very good extension - it allows me to remove manipulative/deceptive language such as doublespeak and translate it into normal, neutral English. A few improvements could be made though: 1. When switching between text and regex mode, the content should be copied. Currently, it gets deleted. 2. Non-capturing groups (?:...) are not supported; the content within those is also replaced. 3. If a regex is written wrongly, for example a greedy match which matches in a loop or for too long, the affected page freezes. There could be a timeout or performance monitor to cancel replacement if this happens. 4. The toggles (case-insensitive, etc) are not remembered across entries. When creating a new entry, ideally it should prepopulate the toggles selected last time. 5. It would be ideal if the ability to toggle each replacement was possible without clicking into the entry; there could be a toggle to the right of each entry for easy toggling.
- (2025-01-06) Mohammad Zyad: Overall, I am quite satisfied with the extension, but I hope it can be optimized for use with webpage translators. Currently, the webpage translator gradually translates the text as I scroll, but the extension, which functions as a text replacer, only works on the initial page load and doesn't apply to the dynamically translated text. It would be great if it could integrate more seamlessly with real-time translation.
